I have no idea how it's amplifying the sound this loudly and clearly but I didn't want to return it because I'd rather have too loud than too quiet. So I took off the earpieces and put a bit of tape on the inside of them (not on the speaker, but on the part of the ear foam that touches the speaker). This dampened the sound considerably. I can still turn the volume up on my phone to the point where it's too loud so this is perfect.

I was constantly getting complaints from other people at work during meetings/calls that the quality of my voice was terrible - 'you sound like you are underwater', 'you sound like a pilot', 'you sound like you are whispering - nobody can hear you'Instead of continuing down the same path of buying headphones and trying to match adapters so they can plug into my phone, I finally just went with the Voistek A2K20HS. Plugged right in and have had high quality calls ever since. No more complaints and no more avoiding calling into meetingsMy open floor plan office sounds like a noisy bar during happy hour most of the day but the dual ear on this headset helps block the noise so I can concentrate on the call I am in.

The Voistek A2K20HS is a decent headset. It DID work on the Mitel call center voip phone at work and it sounds alright. My biggest complaint is that AWFUL material on the ears. It's uncomfortable and makes my ears switch and itch after some time. I resolved this with some cheap velour replacement pads and haven't had an issue since.

While the functionality works as expected, it is very cheap. Very uncomfortable plastic with no padding for the top of your head. The microphone 'wand' should be just a bit longer to center in front of your mouth. As it is, people say they have a hard time hearing me unless the mic is positioned just right. No wiggle room. Would not recommend.

Really enjoying the Voistek. Quick Delivery. I have neck issues and in the office holding the phone while trying to type on the computer, makes my arm go numb. This product works great, I made sure the model worked for my Toshiba office phone and it works great. Padded well to make it comfortable to wear. Volume is fine and people can hear me fine also.

headset was defective. everything else was as described the microphone just worked for like 2 minutes.

I was a little worried the sound quality might be low, but it is great! I can hear very well and have been told by those on the other end of the line that I am clear as a bell. ShoreTel 230 plugged straight into the headphone jack.

I'm in Customer Service and bought these thinking they would be comfortable and could probably hear Customers better as they covered both ears. The sound quality on these are terrible. Sounds like your in a tunnel. Was talking to a customer and had to keep repeating what I said. I finally had to put her on hold and switch headsets real quick. Disappointed.
