I debated on purchasing this, since there are a lot of mixed reviews on how well this works as a "roof" and comments on needing a Lot of blocks to really make it worthwhile. But no other company makes baseplates/roofs this big, that I could find at least, and it seemed like too cool a product to pass up!Today was our first day playing with this set, and my toddlers had a blast. Having a large baseplate really made a difference in how they play with the blocks.We currently have around 250 Duplo pieces (plus this set), most of which went into the creation pictured, so I'd definitely agree with needing a lot of blocks if you are building a "house."The reason the bottom only clings to blocks around the outer edge comes down to a design flaw - the circles are in a square grid, rather than offset like the orange block pictured. Blocks can fit into it, but will not cling except along the outer edge. My kids (ages 2 & 3) haven't been interested in making a multi-story house yet, but if/when they get to that point I'll probably end up gluing the stackable baseplates to the bottom so that it clings in both directions. Assuming there isn't a better "roof" out when the time comes

It's not very stable with the blocks given to build it. I recommend using rectangle and square blocks to stabilize the corners and the round ones that come with it to make pillars inside. I also used 2 platforms in the middle. My kids kept knocking it down and getting upset about it. It's so much easier for them to build on it now. They love it a lot, just needs a bit of modifying.

Excellent quality my kid loves playing with all his blocks and these fun colorful bases are great for making houses or displaying all of his creations and creatures.

The picture shows it as a table…it fell apart each time we tried making that? It can be used for playing with the other legos so you could go a cheaper route

Unable to set item up as described or shown in pictures because it is extremely flimsy low quality you will need to purchase $50 worth of Lego Duplo to support an item like this since they do fit well together. Some of the bricks were really loose and would not fit at all straight out of the package as if they were Used or old or just not made well. I recommend not using this item like described or as shown in the pictures because it will break the large plates they are very flimsy and need more support best to use as a one level play area A few other reviewer’s recommend gluing it down to a old children’s table top for more support if you like but there are cheaper options to purchase if I will use it for this

Ohhhhh wow. My kids loves them. Once they saw what they saw pictures they went for it building levels and just helping each other out it together. I love how they never want to stop playing when it time to change activities they absolutely love them.

This product works with Duplo and Big Briks! The cylinders aren’t as fun as we wanted them to be and mostly only work to stack.

I love the baseplates and the round stackers. The baseplates have some flexibility to them so my kids use them on the floor rather than as a shelving unit. Much better that way.
