Bit Overpriced, But Works
So I have a ring cam that has gone absolutely berserk on me this spring because birds just LOVE to land on my shop's outside wall lamp. I was a little underwhelmed when I got these as they appear to just be flimsy plastic with a cheap string attached. However, after hanging just one of them near the lamp in question my ring cam has only gone off to a bird landing twice in five days. In both of those alerts the birds immediately left when they noticed the rod. So despite the overpriced and cheap quality of these... well, they simply work.As it only took one rod, I have a nice supply of backups should this one fall or get damaged in some other way. So if it keeps the birds away and my phone from going crazy every five minutes... I suppose it's worth it.

Don’t bother
Birds are definitely NOT scared off by them.

Works great - string breaks
These were installed around our boat on an Arizona lake, and 3 have already snapped off due to wind. The skinny vinyl ties are too weak and dont hold up. The product does what it should, but some reinforcement would make it excellent!

They don't stay up in wind.

Surprised
I was really surprised that these rods worked. I have tried so many things to keep the birds from nesting, sitting and mostly leaving dropping all over my covered patio. I thought that this would be another failed attempt but IT WASN'T. THEY WORK GREAT. WE ARE FINALLY BIRD DROPPING FREE!!!! IT IS SO NICE TO SIT ON MY PATIO WITH OUT ALL THE MESS.

Not sure these work
Well on the first test of these on day one, the mockingbirds seem to go about their normal business anyway. This guy is practically sitting on it.

No more woodpeckers!
This really works. We have cedar eves and woodpeckers would drive us crazy with the pecking plus the pecking was causing damage. I used to fantasize about killing those pesky peckers but not anymore. I say let them live and peck away on whatever since they run away from my house! Simple and cheap fix for a big problem.
