Victron Energy Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX

I installed the Victron Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX as part of my full Victron suite in an off-grid Airstream trailer powered by a Quattro 24/5000 inverter, Cerbo GX, Lynx Distributor, and SmartShunt, and it’s quickly become one of the most practical and satisfying additions to the system. The DMC serves as the “hands-on” interface for the Quattro or Multiplus inverter/charger — giving you instant control of shore power limits, inverter functions, and charge settings right from a neat little wall panel. In an RV setup, this is pure gold. I mounted mine just inside the entry door above the main control cluster so I can dial shore power down when I’m plugged into a 15A circuit, or crank it back up when I’m on full 30A service. The response through the Cerbo GX network is immediate, and it communicates perfectly with the rest of the Victron ecosystem. From an installation standpoint, it’s plug-and-play via the RJ45 (VE.Bus) connection — just run a standard network cable from your inverter or Cerbo to the panel and you’re good to go. The compact form factor makes it easy to surface-mount on thin Airstream interior walls without cutting into the aluminum skin. Power draw is negligible, and setup requires no additional programming once the Quattro or Multiplus is configured. In daily use, the precision dial and clean digital display make it intuitive. I especially appreciate the ability to limit current draw when boondocking with a small generator — it prevents nuisance trips and keeps charging smooth. When switching between inverter and shore modes, transitions are seamless. The unit feels solid, with the same quality and attention to detail Victron is known for. In an off-grid Airstream environment, the Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX gives you real-time command over your power system without needing to dig into menus on the Cerbo or touch screen. It’s one of those components that quietly elevates the whole system — reliable, responsive, and designed for serious off-grid control. Use it to turn on my 3000 watt inverter in my airstream works perfectly don’t need all those other monitors everything else is on phone app don’t waste your money.

Very nice part at a good price

This isn't a must have as you can control the inverter through the app or on the unit itself but I don't always have my phone and I don't want to unscrew the panel to access the unit. So for me this works great and I can have the wife or the kids flip the switch.
