Will dyeing the cord have any adverse effects to it?

I don't have personal experience doing so but it appears that some hobbyists have dyed Kevlar fabric successfully with Sumi ink. I cant imagine it would change the properties that much. It is amazingly strong cord for its size.

Does this stretch at all?

Kevlar stretches 2% before breaking. If you have 100 feet and stretch it 2 feet it breaks. A ten inch piece will stretch .20 inches.
