This works well and does get mats out. I had to apply multiple times and work through for larger mats, but it does work ! Makes brushing easier for sure - There’s no scent or harsh smell, no residue left either and makes fur soft. I’ve used it on my golden doodle and will be using on my standard poodle.

This is a miracle in a can, and I'll buy it again! Long coated blue GSD(87%). Those tangles and mats where there's any chance of body parts rubbing together, plus behind the ears from two coats when walking? Used some big sprays, let it dry, and they all brushed out with almost zero pulling. The compacted undercoat on his hips where i suspect someone in his life before i adopted him shaved, also are detangled w/out pulling. Saved my pup lots of frustration and me a lot of time.
