Purchased the book primarily to help brainstorm design ideas for different spaces. The book abounds with pictures and images of a variety creative, artful and visually appealing designs for a variety of climates. That is, there are pictures of nicely layed out small spaces and large spaces for Southwest (dry and hot) or Northeast (wet and cold) climates. Not as much for the Southwest as I would have preferred, but overall, no complaints. Includes useful comments, consistent color themes, dramatic colors, interesting examples of accessories. There are visually appealing spaces with minimal plants (think low maintenance) and small spaces with stacks of potted plants for you high maintenance lovers who are really into your plants.Worked for me.

There are a lot of good ideas in this book. I plan to build a pavilion in my yard and will use some of the features shown in the book.

lots of ideas but not all ideas are for amatuer DIY's

The book has exactly what I was hoping for, which was inspiration and a guide on how to do each idea.

I think this book is very insirational and has very good information:) the only reason why I gave it four instead of five stars was because I thought they could have used more up to date photos.

Watch out this book has a lot of great ideas and it will only cause you to create more. Seriously if you have a blank yard this book will help you create something special. Why have a cookie cutter yard?

I absolutely love this book - it had exactly the ideas I was looking for and then some. The pictures are clear and plenty of them leading to the question - what can I adapt in my garden? Work is, at present , in progress!

Ein gelungenes Werk für alle Gartenfreunde, die sich jenseits des weichgespülten deutschen Einheitsgarten bewegen wollen. Sehr vielschichtig, tolle Bilder. Auf jeden Fall ein guter Kauf.
