Great Sound
Grabbed this for elk season last year as a beginner. Was very easy to use, watched a few youtube videos on how to make cow elk calls, and was able to match them very quickly. I'd say that this is a great call for beginners because it is super easy to figure out. Comes with a string to tie around your neck for easy access. This helped me with a successful bull elk archery hunt!

Great sound
Bought it right before elk season. Has a great sound after some practice. Worked well in the field and called a bull into 70 yards but couldn’t close the deal.

Stopped a bull in his tracks at 200 yards
First off, I cannot figure how to use a Reed call so I bought this call. On a September 2022 Idaho elk hunt, I called in two separate cow elk from about 150 yards using this call making a distressed cow call. Was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had as a hunter, as each cow came within 10 yards of me to “come to the rescue” of the distressed cow.A couple of days later I had already tagged out and was just practicing at this point and had another friend hunting with us. He was quite a ways from me and I wasn’t expecting what happened next. I was on a plateau and saw a nice bull walking away from me. I made a estrus cow call and the the bull stopped in his tracked, looked back my way. I made a shorter estrus call and he turned and started coming my way. I kept making estrus calls and he kept coming. All of a sudden, there was another smaller bull popped up about 40 yards from me, coming to the call. He just stood there looking around for this hot cow. Finally he turned and ran off. My buddy was too far away, so I stopped calling. The bigger bull disappeared in the willows below me and I never saw him again after I stopped calling. I shall that to say this is a very easy-to-use call and very adaptable design allowing to you to make different calls of young and older cows.

Easy to use reed setup
I mastered bugling last year and wanted to learn to cow call. I didn't want to mess with the mouth reed setup yet so after some research this looked like the best option. I can say that here in northern New Mexico mountains, this call worked amazing during the rut. I took me about 10 seconds after watching a youtube video to figure out how to use. Our cabin sits right at the edge of the forest so there is regular elk presence. I could call them in with the bugle to about 100yds, but with this call I could get them in to 40yds. I called in 6 elk over 2 weekends sitting around our campfire. I didn't have a permit this year so I was just having fun and my friends were thoroughly impressed with my calling ability.

Easy to get good sounds out of
Been practicing on several calls and had the best luck with calf and cow calls on this one. Tried it with an experienced caller listening to me and was able to get an "approved" sound with this faster than my other calls. Lightweight and small, easy to store or strap pretty much anywhere in your setup.

Bulls love it
Filthiest call on the mountain.

I like it, the elk like it, nuff said
This call has a nice mellow nasally sound to it and is fairly versatile with volume. It can be nice and soft and quiet with the converter on, or you can pop the converter off and project the call out more. Its very easy to use once you get used to the vibration on your lips. I would recommend this call if you are looking for a "finishing" cow call.
