Mounted on my Austrian moto. Good to know the headlight still works after the bike stranded me out in the middle of nowhere.

Hours of use affects bulb brightness. A bulb used for 1000 hours will be brighter than a new bulb. When you see a vehicle with one bright light and one dim light it's either mismatched bulbs or an old bulb and a new bulb. The dim light is usually the newer light and the bright light is usually the older light. You can however buy brighter halogen bulbs made with thinner wires but they won't last as long.Remove your old bulb and compare it to your new bulb. The new bulb’s wire looks smooth and the old bulb’s wire looks bumpy. The old bulb’s wire has some thick spots and some thin spots. The thinnest spots are the hottest spots and that extra heat makes a little more light. Those thin spots are only going to get thinner with more time, until one day it gets really really bright immediately followed by the wire burning through and then… no light.
