Great qality for the price
I had one like this one that I have been using I my shop for many years. The casting cracked so I purchased this pair of two. These are exactly the same as my old one. I expect years of use from these also.

use this to work metal I'm using on trucks... Work perfect.
It was cheap, so I was thinking it was going to be cheaply made.... I was wrong. It's very well put together, and does what I need.

Ball joint extremely rough and pops out when tightened - unusable and complete waste of time
I unboxed the item and as another reviewer said the ball joint just fell out. It hit my toe in the process, but I will survive. I was able to fit the ball joint back in with some force but when tightened it pops right out again. There were massive seams on the ball, not smooth and polished like pictured. There is no way something can rotate properly with a massive seam running through it. I’m not sure if I received a faulty product or if they are all like this. I lightly filed the ball joint to remove the seam but it made no difference. Product is completely unusable and I wish I had never bought it or spend the last 45 minutes messing with it.

Bit of a slip in the ball joint.
These did not work exactly as described but we made it work. The ball joint slips out under pressure. We just attached them to the work bench. All good

Not awesome, but not expensive.
First look, and it's every bit of a $15 desktop vice. That's the positive.First attempt at use and the top ball pivot refused to move after loosening the ball release. Spray a small amount of break free, and it finally released. When unscrewing the vice head to open it, it would bind every full turn. Applied a little Super-lube silicone and it's better.I did not expect amazing engineering, and I was not surprised by what was sent.

Portable & Sturdy
This table clamp is excellent. I've had it for a few years now, and with moderate use, I can confidently say it has held up well. I love its portability, and the ball-and-socket mechanism holds extremely well. The rubber covers on the clamp heads are a nice touch, preventing scratches on projects. Overall, it's a great design and well worth the purchase if you're looking for something portable and sturdy.

Be safe!!
Its not for heavy duty work. Hardware? Make sure you've got some handy. Carriage bolts are too short for most of my tools, wing nuts and bolts are as cheap as it gets. Had to adhere rubber to tool with contact glue. Be safe if clamping power tools with lock switch. I do not recommend Use of Original bolts and wing nuts. Hey! 15 bucks? Don't expect an IRWIN.
