Solid camera
The media could not be loaded. Solid action camera. The video quality is decent, photo quality is nice, and the gyro does a good job stabilizing it. Overall, I'm impressed. Check out my sample photos, and my video review of this camera. The accessories kit is also quite nice. I took the camera out on a long hiking and outdoors trip in NorCal. The photos I took with it turned out well (see attached). Music in my video used with permission

Fairly disappointed...
I bought this camera for a study abroad trip to Belize. I used it on land but mainly for snorkeling and was really disappointed. What I didn't like:- Battery life is absolute garbage. Wish I would have bought better backups.- if subject matter was close at all it was almost always was out of focus- didn't snorkel or go very deep at all and the "waterproof" housing still leaked. It didn't damage the camera but it completely fogged up the housing making pictures and videos impossible.- the interface isn't user friendly at all and the manual is very little help. I had to YouTube a bunch of stuff to learn how to use the camera.- for being such a high MP camera, I found the pictures still weren't very clear or high quality.- the app crashes all the time and I wasn't able to successfully use it but maybe once or twice to transfer pictures to my iPod touchPROS:- if you're looking for an inexpensive, moderate quality camera then it's perfect for the price. Personally, I wish I would have bought a GoPro for such a big once in a lifetime trip.- came with tons of attachments and an awesome carrying case.I attached some of the better pictures I took

Not just a terrific underwater camera for the price but sold by a company with great customer service!
I just upgraded my review of this camera to 5 stars because of really impressive customer service. As I wrote below, I did really like the camera. but was upset because it broke after just one dive. Well, ODRVM customer service proactively emailed me almost immediately to offer a replacement camera and to not return the defective camera to Amazon. True to their word, I received the new camera last night. It is great to see a company that is so responsive to their customers and care about the quality of their reputation. Also, I mentioned in my review "opening the case the first time is a nice puzzle". I got a separate email from ODRVM thanking me for pointing out that issue and that they would include clear instruction for people who buy the camera in the future. Please note that I have not been compensated by ODRVM in any way for my reviews - besides with great customer service after the fact. :-)I will follow up with some photos and a short video from my dives to show this camera in action.-------------------Original Review--------------------I'm really torn about this camera. It worked great on my first dive (84'). But then coming up, the front button stopped working. Which meant no turning it on/off or changing between camera/video. Thankfully, it broke in the 'on' position and I finished taking video on the way up.I'm disappointed because the pictures and video were great. Of course, I lost the "ROY" colors and everything was blueish - so a flash would have been a nice addition. I can't decide whether to replace this or get a refund. Customer service has been very responsive - so I'm really torn on what to do.Also, it came in a nice case with attachments for almost everything. The only extra that I needed to buy was the grip/float - which was well worth the $9.I should also add that opening the case the first time is a nice puzzle, though easy after that. I found a video review where the person thankfully opened the case. The biggest problem, besides the button breaking, is that the heat from the screen caused the case to fog up (water temp 81 F). But there is a light to tell you when it's recording, so that isn't terrible.Lastly, it comes with a nice watch for taking photos/videos without having to navigate the front. BUT BE AWARE that the watch isn't waterproof and someone else on the boat warned me that their watch broke on the first dive.

Great camera!
The media could not be loaded. I did a ton of research before buying my first Action Camera. I literally spent a week or two reading reviews, learning the specs, watching YouTube videos, you name it, I did it.After a while I decided the 4K from ODRVM was the best choice. I don't have a need for the 4K feature because I don't own any 4K compatable devices but it has the built in Wifi so I thought why not. It was a little more expensive than some of the others on Amazon but out of the hundreds I researched this was the best for the price, and still a lot cheaper than even the GoPro Session.I don't ever write reviews so I'll try to capture everything I noticed about the camera so I can help you guys out.First, shipping was quick, and the camera comes with a ton of stuff.I for one am a pessimist by nature so I read all the negative reviews first, and the ones I found about this camera didn't add up. People were giving it 2 stars because they couldn't figure out how to use it. What? That's not the cameras fault, dummy. Or how the sound wasn't great while in the waterproof case. Well duh, it's in a waterproof case. I don't care about sound if I'm taking the camera underwater. I don't need to listen to whale sounds.Anyway, the camera works fine. The video quality and photo is better than my buddy's GoPro Session. The battery life isn't the greatest but they send you two so you should be good. I used one battery for a solid 40 minutes of constant filming in 1080p at 60 frames and it left me with one battery bar left. I swapped batteries when it got that low because I didn't want it to die while I was filming so I can't tell you the entire life of one battery, but you will get at least 40 minutes.I was sure to test the waterproof case before submerging the camera and it was water tight. No leaks.I've only used one of the 3M adhesive mounts so far for my boat, it worked perfect. Didn't peel up from the heat of the sun, kept the camera nice and steady. So far so good.I did read some reviews about people having trouble with this camera not reading their memory cards but I found a YouTube video that said you need a Class 10 card. That's what I looked for and it worked for me. I'm using a Class 10 16GB card. I'm not a photographer so that's enough space for me.The ONLY issue I found with this camera is the Wifi. BUT! It wasn't even an issue, I just wasn't being patient. Once you connect the camera to your phone you have the option of downloading the video. Once you start the download this loading bar will pop up and show you the progress of the download. For pictures and shorter videos you can watch the progress bar fill up and it tells you when the download is complete. But if the video is close to or longer than 3 minutes the progress bar will disappear. Of course I freaked out because I was trying to download that 40 minute video I mentioned earlier. Well luckily for me, I didn't know the camera has a default setting where it will continually record, but it cuts the video into 3 min sections. At first I was upset but it turned out to be for the better. This is where you have to be patient. The progress bar will disappear but it is still downloading. Just give it time! You'll think the app froze or something but I assure you it's fine. It took me a second to figure it out so I kept closing out of the app and trying it again. Trust me, let it do its thing and it will download. That being said, I haven't tried to download any video over 3 minutes, so I'm not sure how well that works. I just know the smaller the video the more quickly it transfers so I'm happy. The video I found that helped me decide on this camera is here https://youtu.be/j-08KnHoDNwHe kinda gives a step by step process on how to use it which is kinda cool.I'll add a couple videos I took with the camera and some pictures. Be aware that we went out on a pretty shitty rainy day so the picture might not be the best, but the underwater quality is awesome. One more thing, I never tested out the 4K. I don't care about 4K because as I said I don't have a 4K tv, my phone isn't 4K, I don't need 4K. So the 1080 is what I've been using and I love it.And everything I've done with this camera has been on my iPhone 6. The app works well on my phone, I can't speak for android users.Hope this review helps! Enjoy guys!
