Great Value for mid-weight protective film and application tools!
Great Value for mid-weight vehicle protective film and application tools! Tendency to tear, mentioned in other reviews, may be due to the 4.5 mil (.0045 inch) film thickness, which is somewhat less than some the the 3M films, which are frequently listed at 6 mils. The 10 mil measurement shown is WITH the backing still in place. An added BONUS is that the kit came with EXTRA tools beyond what is shown in the listing. NICE! I will update the review after actually applying the film to one of my vehicles, but cautiously optimistic for now. The VVIVID label on the film roll is a nice packaging touch so that you can have confidence about what you are getting.FOLLOW UP: After first couple of application attempts, VERY pleased with how everything turned out. Rolled edge at the back of truck bed cover looks GREAT.RECOMMENDED

Has a slight orange-peel texture once applied
I filled a spray bottle with 25% rubbing alcohol and 75% distilled water, then sprayed it on my headlights while applying this film. You'll also want to spray some liquid on the outside of the vinyl so that the squeegee glides across nice to remove any trapped air bubbles. For corners or uneven surfaces, use a heat gun to warm the vinyl, then quickly stretch, spray and squeegee before it cools. It can be reheated and stretched many times, just be careful not to burn it with a heat gun.

Applied HOV lane stickers to car for easy removal
Not the usual use for this, but I stuck my state HOV lane stickers to Vvivid, then cut them out, and applied to car. Hopefully for easy removal when the decals expire. Application was easy over a month ago and no peeling. I did a wet application for movability and they stuck just fine. The applicator included was helpful, too. The ultimate test will be removal in a few years, though! - UPDATE - four years later, the HOV stickers expired, so time for the TEST… removal. Per some videos, I got out the hairdryer to heat the stickers up until they were warm to touch (or a hot day in the sun would’ve been easier). Grabbed an edge with a fingernail and they came right off! No GooGone needed. Amazing!

Not 3M film
Having just used some 3M film to wrap my bike that was easy to apply and had great results I ordered this because I read the description too quickly and thought it was 3M film. It isn't 3M film and it doesn't apply as nicely as a 3M film so keep that in mind.

Don’t waste your money!
I should have paid more attention to the one star reviews. This product is terrible. It does look like orange peel because of all the bubbles that form when you lay it down. Any review saying this stuff is good, can’t be reviewing the same product. Spend the extra money and get a better wrap! If I could return what I have left, I would!!!

VALUE. QUALITY. Straight up awesome
i live in colorado. we have a lot of rocks and pebbles.when those pebbles fly at your precious $200+ headlights at mach five by no fault of your own, its so, SO nice to know i can rely on this crystal clear easily applied vinyl to protect my investment. Also, i ordered a few different vinyl rolls from this company. haven't been anywhere near disappointed yet. 10/10 would recommend. Super easy to apply, even if you have the coordination of a yak.

Best on Flat Surfaces like a car hood
The product is tough and mean't to be put on a smooth flat surface. use soap and water to set it in place and weegey it out until bubbles are gone.It does not apply well to curvy surfaces! remember this when setting your expectations.it does do the job of protecting your car's finish. I used mine to cover the front end from rock chips.

Film can stretch and shrink slightly
This film is not bad, will stretch very slightly with pulling, will shrink with heat like tint.Film is thin and hard, better to work in cool tennis. I used dry, and with squeegee. Heat gun also help make it stickier You can pull it back up when cool to get air bubbles or pop them with a needle and push. Would buy more.
