Good stamp pad
Arrived in good condition and it works like it ought to work. The pad is moist with ink, the color is solid and nice dark black, the cover fits squarely over the pad (although could be easily knocked off if you're someone whose cat likes to rummage through your stuff...and that could be a mess, so you might want to store this where the cat can't get to it. Ask me how I know this). No complaints about the product itself, although a latching lid would be a great upgrade.

This is not a permanet dye and smears your gretting card.
I did not like this as it takes time yo dry. After I spent hours on a card it smeared and I had to throw it out. I set mine with some cheap hair spray holding a distance from the card a short mist of spray to set it. When sending a card some one might touch it with a wet hand and smear it. Yuk!

Stamping Pad Worked Well
I used these stamping pads in a class I taught at the library. They were used to color the top section of a folded book to help create the look of Santa's hat. The color went on well and was easy to manage with the raised pad. The red color is quite vivid. All who took the class felt the pads made the job of coloring the hat a simple technique. Thank you for the quick turnaround time on this wonderful product.

Had to buy a heat gun for this to dry
Over 24 hours after I stamped some of my wedding invitations, it wasn’t until they smudged that I realized that this ink had still not dried. I let this sit on another absorbent, recycled paper project for over 5 days, and again, still tacky and smudged. I ended up having to buy a heat gun to get this ink to dry, which is a pain, but it does produce very dark, pigmented color.I will continue to purchase ColorBox ink due to the quality, but with the knowledge that I will have to dry everything I stamp with a heat gun in order for it to dry. I tried other brand inks that did dry, but the color pay-off just didn’t compare.

Great color and shimmer
Great color and shimmer, but the pad is very spongy so that when you press down on it, the whole pad collapses and very little ink actually gets into whatever you're using. For me it was for a fingerprint tree for my wedding guestbook. Guests basically had to swipe their finger back and forth rather than press down to the get the ink on their finger. Nevertheless, the color transferred well and looks great, even though the detail of the fingerprints didn't really transfer over.

Gorgeous and crisp
Lovely, rich color. Doesn't bleed, doesn't seem to fade, and has been a beautiful companion to some simple, pretty little stampers I bought for a keepsake journal. I stamp my dates, some decorations, and little phrases, and it looks great. I've also purchased a few other shades of the same ColorBox product and I have no complaints. If you're using stampers for a craft for the first time, I do encourage some practice runs on scrap paper to get the pressure just right. The results to this are meant to be delicate but imperfect, but there's a bit of a learning curve involved in treading the line between imperfect and sloppy looking.Enjoy!

Sailboat color smears everywhere!
I purchased this ColorBox ink in 2 colors, the Metallic Gold and the Sailboat color for my wedding invitations (I purchased a stamp of my address to make things easier). The Metallic Gold looks great on my dark envelopes and after some time drying, does not smear. However, the sailboat color NEVER sets and for some reason seems to be a bit raised on my RSVP envelopes. I let my RSVP return envelopes dry in my craft office for 3 days (which should be more than enough time for any ink, certainly less time than the Metallic Gold) before assembling my invitations and they still smeared when I put the whole thing together. I ended up buying a different color blue ink that did not smear and MUCH prefer it to this ink because the Sailboat color ruined several of my expensive wedding invitations!

Crafters spend $$$ but we like things to last
I am an experienced crafter who has bought stamps pads for many, many years. Color Box hasn't always impressed me. Just in the past two years the stamp pad casing itself has been made of thinner plastics. They don't clamp as tight as other manufacturers so I find their stamps dry up faster....which is probably what they want so you buy more.I think they have underestimated crafters. Crafters spend $$$ but we like things to last. We like high quality products. And I find Color Box is cheapening their products. So beware of what you buy from Color Box. There are other manufacturers on Amazon that give you better products for your dollar.
