Cheap is cheap….
Bought these for my high school physics class. Day 1 class 1 they started breaking. The center swivel started popping out. The slides are too lose and won’t hold a distance. Get what you pay for…. Cheap is cheap.

Students of all abilities love using these.
There is a little round clear plastic piece that allows the full circle motion. These have a tendency to fall out fairly easily. If students are told ahead of time to look out for it, they will catch it. Just in case, buy a couple extra. TBH I'd rather deal with that then the non-functionality of the new plastic compasses that are sold these days that break after one use.

Good not great
Price is great. Type of product is great. Next time I'll splurge for the kind that locks, since my students are not the gentlest circle makers. They are also not the most careful. When these fall on the floor the circle where you press your finger down will fall out and then can easily be popped back in place. Would get better kind in the future but happy to have this product in my classroom and to have enough for all of my students.

Super Cheap. Not worth it.
Main function of a measuring tool is to be somewhat accurate, and there are slide compasses on Amazon that actually allow you to lock the slider in place. These do not, and therefore your pencil slips and your circles aren't circles. Literally the only reason you would need a compass. They hold together ~fine~ so long as you don't drop them. Centers pop out very easily. Given that they're dirt cheap, if you have a steady hand you can make them work. Even at the low price point, they're barely worth the money. Open up the wallet a little further for the $1.25 a piece compasses that lock.

Fall Apart Easily
These are okay for a tea her on a budget, but they fall apart too easily to be usable.

Too much trouble than it is worth
These are cheaply made and do not stay together. When using these with my students; I spend more time putting them back together than actually teaching. They are not worth the time and aggravation.

but now that I have them I see that it was an excellent purchase. They are sturdy enough for classroom use
I was hesistant about buying this for math class, but now that I have them I see that it was an excellent purchase. They are sturdy enough for classroom use. They are superb since you have a ruler, compass and protactor all in one. Students just need to be taught how to use it and get used to it, especially the compass.
