This yarn is about a DK weight and the texture is a true fine merino. I wanted to find a dupe for extra fine merino yarn and this is it! It’s so soft, easy to crochet with, and doesn’t split too much either which is something I look for in yarns.

I like this yard. Just thick enough for rag dolls hair. Fast shipment.

I have been having a little trouble with splitting strands. When I concentrate, all goes well. It has a looser twist which gives the fabric a lovely hand.

The color I choose was red however it is more of a fushia color. I needed red to add sections to a shawl that I'm working on but since this is not red I cannot use it. I am returning. The skeins are small therefore the only way I can keep it is if I buy a lot more. The amount of yarn on these skeins wouldn't be enough to create anything. Other than that, seems to be good yarn. Just keep in mind that it is not a real red if you are choosing to buy a few skeins to incorporate into your project.

This yarn seems like a great material so far. As you can see in my pictures it holds up to the tension of an old barn loom, and the friction of the fiber heddles. So far. It tends to loosen up because of the smoothness, so tie a double at the end of your warp to secure it. Good stuff over all!

The tag attached to the yarn is very misleading. No where on the tag says it’s 100% superwash merino. It calls for knitting needle size 10-11. Description on Amazon says it’s superfine, and calls for needle size 4-8. Which is reliable? What’s wrong with the manufacturer?I have to redo my stitches over and over again because yarn splits.

It's very soft, like really soft. But it's way too expensive for the quality in general. This yarn splits way too much, even if you're experienced enough, you have to be very attentive to avoid splitting. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

This is quite nice merino wool yarn! I used it to knit a scarf and it didn't break at all for me, which was my biggest worry. The scarf turned out relatively soft.
