Fujinon 16x70 FMT-SX Polaris, Water Proof BK7 Porro Prism Binocular with 4 Degree Angle of View (Individual Focus)

I have had the 10x70 for over 30 years I also have the 7x50. Both have held up great over the years. If memory serves me correctly, when I bought my binoculars, the Fujinon binoculars is what the Navy used at the time.

I actually have owned these for over 20 years and no issues at all and still outstanding image quality. Note that these are the FMT-SX version which are different than the lower level FMT nonSX version. The SX version has correctors for better flat field in the eyepieces and image correction out to the edges.I use for astronomy as well as terrestrial viewing. Light gathering and higher magnification is an advantage but at the expense of bulk and weight. If you use these I suggest mounting them on some sort of support...tripod, mono pod, etc. or you will quickly tire out and it is very hard to keep the image steady at such high power when hand held. If you only want to use them hand held, the 10x50 version would be preferred or for an even wider FOV the 7x50 which I also have. All are still available in the FMT-SX versions I believe.
