Color:Pennoni Since 1943, Mr. Carlo Fusco has traveled and worked around the world in search of perfecting the art of pasta making. Today, inspired by his passion for quality, he produces this authentic artisan pasta according to the strict principles of ancient traditions. Top quality semolina is kneaded with pure water from the valleys of Molise, Italy. The dough is then extruded through bronze dies and lastly, skillfully dried with a static process at very low temperatures. This slow drying process maintains the artisan tradition of Molise and allows Mr. Fusco to guarantee that his finished product is a true product.

4 Star Chef Recommended
My son-in-law is the Executive Chef at a well-known winery in California's Napa Valley and asked for Fusco Casarecce as a Christmas gift. Can't get a better recommendation than that!

Excellent, but fragile
I've been looking for a reliable source for gigante rigatoni - and this is a good start. I'd give it 5 stars, except that my order of six packages arrived with several broken pieces in each package. That may not be the pasta maker's fault, but it was under-protected by the shipper. It's a small niggle - the pasta has a decent thickness, a nice rough surface for holding sauce, and good tooth feel. I'll likely order it again, but I hope for a gentler transit to my pantry.

Amazing pasta
I love this pasta, we've made it with scallops and lemon sauce, carbonara, and with red sauce. I absolutely love it. It holds a lot of sauce in its twists and turns.

New Year's Tradition
My Nonno(grandfather) made stuffed rigatoni for me because I am not a fan of black eyed peas. He and I made this dish for New Year's dinner. I make this dish for my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & special friends every year. Rigatoni from the grocery stores has gotten smaller & breaks easily while trying to stuff them. Of course getting help to do this very labor intensive dish does not get the attendance that eating it does. With this rigatoni I can stuff all six packages in an hour & half compared to the four or so hours with smaller rigatoni. Last year my three daughters showed up to help & lambasted me for not finding this giant rigatoni years ago so this year the help should show up again. The 6 packages takes 9lbs.of meat & 2 large cans of Angela Mia tomato sauce stuffing that fills my caner pot for the diner. One daughter is allergic to Parmesan cheese so she gets the small dutch oven that my Nonno & I use to make this dish in. Happy New Year Nonno, we miss you greatly, love always James.

I love thick pasta and this is perfect
It takes 20 minutes to cook; however, the texture is worth the wait. The sauce falls in the crevices and makes for a delicious pasta experience. Amazon had another casareece that was thinner. Both are wonderful if you like thick almost home-made pasta texture.
