No more lightbulbs!
These aren’t fancy but I won’t be changing lightbulbs for a long time! They were easy to install and cheap enough and bright enough that I put them through my whole house.

Small but mighty
Replacing a kitchen fan and light with this small light. I was going for the cheap route and I’m glad I did. I was pretty nervous that this small cheap light wouldn’t provide me with enough light in my kitchen. It’s surprisingly nice and bright. 3x brighter than the garbage I had before. Soo happy I’m buying two more for my stairwells

Amazing amount of light- can be modified to fit on ceiling fan.
These fixture are very bright. I am very happy with them. I've installed 5 of these in my home so far and I ordered three more. To make your install easier, I suggest a few things. 1) Connect two pieces of stranded 14 gauge wire about 8 inches long to the solid wires in your junction box - this will make your install a lot easier having flexible wires. 2) The fixture comes with European colored wires (blue/brown), stripped to expose about 1/4 inch of wire. Strip an additional 1/4 inch of the wire so you have about 1/2 inch of stripped wire - this will make it a lot easier to wire nut the wires together. 3) Install the plastic support ring to the junction box. 4) connect the flexible wires you installed to the fixture's wires. Blue connects to White. Brown connects to Black. You can suspend the fixture by its wires if you are gentle. 5) Put the fixture on the support ring and turn 1/4 turn (counter-clockwise) (left), until it stops. Make sure you know which way to turn ahead of time. The ceiling fan above my desk needed more light...so I decided to install one of these fixtures. It can be done, but it is an advanced project. I removed the four A-15 sockets. I drilled a 1/8 hole directly in the center of the 12" fixture, I was able to avoid any electronics and fed the pull chain thru the hole. I started with a 1/16" drill bit and increased in size to a 1/8" drill bit. Be careful, the drill can melt the plastic. Obviously drilling holes thru the fixture will void your warranty.I bought these fixtures from two different sellers for both the manufacturer is LedLightsWorld.com (on the box). If the specs are the same 24W, 3200 lumen, 5000K with different sellers on Amazon, it is the same product and go with the cheaper price. At present it is $24.88 per fixture.

Good light, a bit challenging to install
This was replacing a previous unit. There was an 11x11 hole that the previous unit snapped into nicely. Since this unit is intended for surface mounting, I had to get a hanger to bridge two studs and an electrical box to place on the hanger. The boxes intended for ceiling fixtures have screws at a 45 degree angle. The mounting plate for this fixture has slots at 0 and 90 degrees. Fortunately, I was able to mount the box on the hanger at a 45 degree angle, but if I had been working with an existing ceiling box, it would have been a problem. My second problem was that the mounting plate assumes it will be surface mounted, but given that there was already a hole almost as big as the fixture, I had to mount it on the box. That mean't it was probably 1/16th of an inch inside the sheetrock. That made for a tight fit, which I wanted, but it would not mate with the light fixture. I had to put a steel bar behind each side of it to pry them out. Once mated, I removed the bars and everything was fine. The third issue is the worst. The product came with a three wire pressure splice. It is a clever idea. You press down on a lever, insert the wire and release the lever. BUT . . . it was poorly made and didn't hold the wires tightly enough. After three or four failed attempts, I threw it out and replaced it with a couple of Wago splices that use a similar concept, except with a stronger spring and a lever arm to lower it. They work very well and are highly recommended for situations like this where the two wires are of different thickness, and particularly when one is stranded, and the other is solid. Conventional wirenuts don't always hold both wires well in such situations.

Apperance and brightness.
Addendum to first review....This is so great that we now have the bigger one for our kitchen and another one for our hall. The lights are fantastic. They are very bright and beautiful. You will love them. Recommended highly!!!!

Easy Installation
Bought this to replace an old (4) bulb 60's vintage ceiling light fixture in the 10' x 10' kitchen. Packaging is very good so it survives shipping with no problems. The mounting ring attached to the existing electrical box in minutes. Attaching the 2 wires for power was a little awkward. The light comes with a pigtail about 6 inches long and without a helper to hold the fixture while attaching the wiring, it leaves you trying to hold the fixture and wiring it if alone. I took a small length of solid wire and made a little hook to hold the light while I wired it. After wiring, the fixture locks on the mounting ring with a quarter turn. The light fits flush to the ceiling and is only 1 inch thick. It is as bright as or even brighter than the (4) 60 watt bulbs I replaced and the light fills the room. I'm very happy with with this light and would buy again. It is a quality fixture. The box stores had a similar fixture at almost 3 times the price of this one and it was almost twice as thick. Only improvement I would recommend is to add a quick disconnect plug on the pigtail so you could just plug it in and spin it on when installing.

I would look elsewhere
I bought this to replace an old florescent light over a slop sink in my basement. For that purpose it is (just) adequate. As others have noted this light is not all that bright; installation was not all that easy as, instead of standard wire nuts, a three wire connecting unit that clips is supplied. The ceiling wires in were a bit too thick to use this and I had to use standard wire nuts. The wire from the ceiling light itself is not all that long and it took a while to get it connected to the existing ceiling wires. As I already took the trouble of installing it I don't plan to return it, but look elsewhere, you can do better for the same price of this light. It is fairly lightweight, a compact size on the positive side.
