Yeah it's an expensive ass softbox. But after you've spend thousands on the camera and the light and the stand and the gels.... then what's £50 extra to get something that has UTILITY!I could not IMAGINE using a softbox that doesn't have foldable rods. It's still a relative challenge to set up because it's so bulky and takes minimum of a few minutes. I'm here thinking "man if only this was a bit easier" forgetting that THIS IS the easier option! In that case, seems 1000% worth the money.I do have a complaint, and that's with the gel holder... there are two issues: 1. the magnets are quite weak. you can hold a single gel sheet in there, but as soon as you want to double up, the magnets struggle to hold. 2. it's a fantastic way to melt your gels. i have a 300W light, which i get is quite bright for most applications... but it IS a softbox. it needs higher output levels to get the light required. soo, my gels get melted in my gel holder. Not completely melted, but they get very deformed. These deformations make the shape push out on the magnets, which then makes the mechanism give up and it drops the gel. leading back into problem one again! ughhhBut the whole gel holder is just a bonus feature so it doesn't impact the product, just a feature that lacks as much utility unfortunately.Unrelated but I think the inside smells super funky. like some intergalactic alien chinese takeaway.Anyways everything else has been fantastic, be gentle though as i've heard the inner diffusion bit has snapped for some people. I can't compare this product to anything else because it's my first but i recommend it to anyone that's looking for UTILITY and flexibility. also the included grid is a lifesaver!!

Bought this per recommendation of a more experienced videographer and I am so pleased. Easy to open up and also easy (even easier, actually) to close it up. High quality product that serves its purpose. Don’t waste money on cheaper options - make the splurge for something that will last.

Die Softbox lässt sich sehr schnell aufbauen, da man die Streben nur einrasten lassen muss und den Diffusor mit Klettverschluss befestigen kann. Es werden zwei Stoffe zur Diffusion mitgeliefert und zusätzlich ein Grid, das auch per Klettverschluss befestigt werden kann. Mit dem Grid bekommt man sehr schön gerichtetes Licht, das sich nicht im ganzen Raum verteilt. Allgemein hat man einen sehr gleichmäßigen Licht-Output und die Größe ist ideal, um damit auch noch gut in kleineren Räumen arbeiten zu können. Die Softbox ist nicht zu schwer, man kann sie also nutzen ohne Sorgen zu haben, dass die Lampe nach unten gezogen wird (hängt natürlich auch von der Stabilität der verwendeten Lampe ab).Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist super und ich gehe davon aus, dass die Softbox lange halten wird, auch bei häufigerem Auf- und Abbau. Der Abbau funktioniert sogar noch schneller als der Aufbau, da man die Streben einfach per Klick lösen kann und dann alles zusammen in die mitgelieferte Tragetasche packen kann.

This thing is AMAZINGLY well built for the money, and really big when put together. Big soft light for a modeling light or to diffuse a flash!

Perfect for your key light especially shooting reflective products like I do as it creates a nice soft, and perfectly round catch-light in reflections. Fantastic quality. Really great. You should buy it. Don’t waste your time with other bowens mount circular “soft boxes”. This is the jam.

I had passed over busying this years ago to buy the Godox equivalent. Boy was I wrong. The Godox soft box was much more difficult to put together. This one assembles in 1 minute which is great for tight deadlines.
