I have used dull knives for at least 28 years. Growing up I was sawing potatos and anything that needed cutting. I finally decided at the ripe age of 39 I was going to buy some knives. I didnt want to spend 3oo dollars though! I took a risk and order these knives AND THEY HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE! Never knew that I could literally just slice through a potato before! THese knives are amazing and at an amazing price. they are also beautiful. The handles are really smooth so it is difficult to get a good grip if your hands are greasy in any way (from cooking or too much lotion). They also have a smooth edge which means you can get most of them sharpened (except for the small serrated knife). Totally worth it and want to gift them for my mom one of these days. She is still sawing her vegetables:(
