I absolutely love this little journal!!
It's the perfect size to carry anywhere. I'm going to bring it to our medieval reenactments and have already collected leaves, herbs and nature items to place inside. It's just the right size to fit into any one of the leather belt pouches that are sold at these events. I received it the day after ordering and it came in a cute little cloth bag. Superb quality and craftsmanship.

A beautiful journal...with issues.
Visually, this book is adorable. Small in size, nice weight, sturdy construction. The paper, however, is problematic. These pages have been treated with some chemical or method that causes them to repel most of what they encounter. Fountain pen ink will take over 24 hours to dry, even when blotted. Watercolor is also a hit-or-miss endeavor, as it requires a surface to sink into. Markers skitter on the rough surface and, if pressed too deeply, will cause the paper to flake. No erasing; this takes the stain right off the page. Gel pens have worked best, but this isn't my choice of medium for a vintage leather journal. So know that this will be a struggle - and yet, the lovely look and heft of the book may make the labor worth it to you.
