Perfect tool for someone who doesn’t need these often. In my instance, I only needed to put a new end on an Ethernet cable that broke off.If you’re a little inexperienced with these, the instructions could use a little work, but there is plenty of information online about color coding, so it’s not a huge problem.The quality is good for the price. The connectors could probably be better, but they’re sufficient enough for the average homeowner. The included tester was a huge bonus. I missed on the color coding on the first attempt and the tester was able to tell me what I did wrong. Just take your time and double check your work and you’ll be good.

I purchased this kit to terminate cables in my new home. Prewired the house with CAT cables. Unfortunately, the electrician that ran all the cables told me at the end of the job that they do not terminate the cables. Tester worked great. Instructions were easy to follow. Pass through ends worked great. The only complaint I have is that the wire cutter on the crimping tool is a littler small and I had trouble getting the wire ends through before crimping and cutting.

I hate buying cheap tools. Even though I'm not a pro, I still find most times that they just don't work as well as the good stuff or they break even with light use. But this time I just couldn't justify 4x the price for the pro-grade ethernet crimper when I only need to do maybe 10 cables for my home install. I was pleasantly surprised with this. The action is tight, everything fits securely in place, and the kit was very complete. It came with everything I needed to build the cable and test it for a quite reasonable price.If I was doing more than 10 or so cables I'd probably spend more to make sure I had a tool that would last, but I'm very much hoping that I'll only have to use it this one time and then I'll be glad to have not spend a lot for a tool that just sits in the box forever.

Worked great

I was going to just buy a pass thru tool but this came with a whole kit. I installed some security cameras and ran some Ethernet cord all over my house and this cut my time in half. The scissors cut the wire easily and the tool to cut the cable works really well. I really like the pass thru system with these new plugs. Makes terminating RJ45 (CAT) cables super easy.

The crimper worked well for me and I was able to repair a couple of network cables with bad ends fairly easily. The wire cutter and stripper are nice additions. The crimper seems to be well built and feels solid in your hand. The cable tester is particularly handy to make sure your connections are accurate and working. It's a nice kit.

Awesome package that includes all tools needing for a job. Installed a full CCTV system and saved lots of $$$ by buying this product I sure as of getting it at a local tool shop.
