I'm Happy!
Works great! Good value. Good construction. Bonus 2 extra replacement bulbs.I'm allergic to mosquitoes. We have one of these in our kitchen and one in our living room during the summer. Kills mosquitoes, house flies, gnats, fungus gnats (from potted plants). I don't like the annoying ZAP sound but it doesn't happen often and I'm allergic to insect bites. I like it!

This is the ultimate FLY TERMINATOR!
Wow!You know, I really wanted to provide a video of how well this Aspectek 20W Bug Zapper works, but seconds after plugging it in -- and I do mean seconds -- it killed its first fly. Within a minute, two more. It happened so fast that I couldn't even put my iPhone into video mode to capture it.So allow me to go back in time for a moment...I have had a huge fly problem in my home for quite some time. The problem is people and pets coming in and out of the house. The flies just flock into my home and they are all over the kitchen.I bought one of those battery-operated fly swatters, but using those require a lot of patience. You have wait for your prey to land on something and then hope that you can actually swat the fly before it flies off. When I felt "enough was enough" and that the problem was getting out of control, I poured over Amazon reviews for days looking for the perfect electronic bug zapper. This one from Aspectek seemed to have consistently great reviews.Upon taking it out of its packaging I noticed that it was extremely lightweight. It's also well packaged in the box with a nice amount of bubble wrap covering the unit to avoid damage. Additionally, the plug and bug tray are secured with locking tie wraps. You should have no concerns about your unit arriving damaged. The Bug Zapper comes with a small chain that latches on to side hooks. That was a nice bonus. I actually opted to hang this on an abandoned plant hanger in my dining area.Once unpacked, you simply insert the fly tray into the bottom of the unit and turn it on. It's that simple to have it set up within minutes of unpacking. Upon turning on the power, two black bulbs instantly light. As I mentioned earlier, it took mere seconds for me to see positive results. Loud crackles told me that it had captured its first fly. Indeed, there was a fly hopping around in the tray. It had lost one of its wings during the zapping process. It was going nowhere. Two more flies were instantly killed within a minute later and their dead carcasses were deposited into the tray. All I had to do was remove the tray and deposit the bodies into the trash.Yes, I have noticed that some flies do get stuck in the mesh. However, the mesh is electrified and the flies eventually are zapped dead.Yes, this does make a rather loud crackling noise, but it's not to the point where it's really going to make anyone jump. Really, there is more satisfaction to the sound than negativity.I understand from some reviews that bulb life is not optimal. There are very good instructions included on what kind of replacement bulb to buy and how to replace it. I suggest keeping those instructions in a safe place. One tip I can provide: unless you have a huge problem in your home, don't keep this running for hours on end. You can keep it running for 30 minutes a day and get rid of your fly problem. Remember: the flies come to IT.For automated homes, I suggest buying a WEMO plug. I just tell Amazon Alexa to "turn on bug zapper" and the unit automatically turns on. I also turn it off with a similar command. WEMO plugs also work with Siri. You know why this is so great? You can be sitting in your easy chair, be bothered by a fly or similar pest, and simply command your bug zapper to turn on without having to leave your seat. It's so wonderful knowing that your investment has paid off mere minutes after unwrapping. For this thing to work so quickly and effectively gives me immense satisfaction. This bug zapper not only works, but it does so tremendously well.

Most effective bug zapper I've bought on Amazon
I get so many mosquitos in my house in the summer and I've purchased 4 different zappers, all of them with high reviews. This is the ONLY one which consistently catches lots of bugs. The other ones only catch a few here and there, but I still end up getting bit so they're missing a lot. Ideally, they say that these work best when it's dark so that it attracts the bugs, but even when I have these on at night with the lights on they'll still zap bugs. I know it because there's a loud satisfying zap sound each time a bug gets zapped, I love hearing it knowing that that's one less mosquito biting me.

THE BEAST! The clean up is worth it!
This zapper is a BEAST! First it lures in it's victims with a very soothing and tantalizing light, then as they get closer to the light, the little flying bugs notice that a collection of some of there other flying little friends have started to gather at the base of this beautiful and warm and inviting light. They get curious, as most little buzzing, flying insects tend to get, so they continue their curious rubber necking selves forward towards that never seizing warm light. Then all of a sudden, POP! SNAP! CRACKLE! SIZZLE! And they too are now gathered at the bottom with all of their other little friends. Every once in a while, a real tough one will stay on the grill, thinking that they can overcome this thing that has taken all it's friends. That one will usually crackle and pop for a few seconds then will just vaporize and this brings us to the only negative thing about this new BEAST that was added to our home. The smell of over cooked buggy guts.Get you one. It works great and is quite entertaining as well.

It works well, but watch out for bug spillage and loud zapping noises
The Good:It works for its intended purpose, at a reasonable price. This lamp kills those small flying insects that get into the house, especially in summer. I particularly like that it works throughout the day, even when the room (I keep it in the kitchen) is very well lit.The Not Great:Some times bugs are just stunned and fly away (though likely to die soon thereafter). Most of the time, the bugs that it kills do not fall into the nice tray at the bottom of the unit. In my experience, most of the bugs it kills fall in the surrounding area, within six to ten inches of the lamp. Not ideal if there is food nearby, so keep a clean zone around the lamp. I also do not like to keep on overnight because it lights up the entire room as if someone was up all night. The Bad:It is LOUD when it zaps a bug, even a tiny one. If you have sound-sensitive pets, or easily-startled humans, this lamp will not work for you.
