This is a great set of magnets.

Background - I have a classic muscle car and I've been slowing doing maintenance on it. The car is fully functional but I have no idea when things were done, if ever, as I've only had it for 5 years. I was replacing the heater hoses and the water pump to heater hose connecters were rusted and degraded. It took me a week of trying various parts to get them out. As you may know those "easy outs" and internal pipe wrenches work by digging in and grabbing the metal and then turning. That created a number of shavings that fall into whatever the are screwed into.Review - Thus the need for these little gems. Once the pipe fitting is out, you don't want to just put the replacement one in and go forward, you have all those metal shavings to deal with. I didn't want them going through my water pump, heater core, radiator. I purchased this set as I figured if nothing else the smallest two would allow me to get as deep as possible into the water pump and collect all those shavings. Worked perfectly. I went fishing for shavings about 4 times each with the smallest two magnets until nothing else was collected. Very happy with this solution.

Great addition to my toolbox. Came in handy a number of times when I drop screws/bolts under car/truck and I dont want to crawl underneath to get them. Love the various sizes.

These telescoping magnetic tools seem to be constructed well and of durable materials. I continue to find uses for them. In the shop the larger sized magnets are useful for picking up dropped nuts, bolts and tools. In the office I can keep paper clips picked up from the floor without getting out of my chair. And in the sewing room, the ladies are impressed that they can point the magnet in the vicinity of a dropped needle or pin and find it without crawling on the floor. These are a few useful tasks, and I’m certain you will discover many more. Initially I wasn’t certain about my decision to buy these tools, but I’m sure glad I did!

They all worked great for 3 weeks until one of them broke. This was with normal use and not swinging out like a lightsaber.
