I was wondering if you would recommend holding a 8 lb camera on the end of this. Will if hold in position? I'm not sure what 44 lbs holding power means.

Hi Jesse. I use my Big Boy to hold a Nikon SB 900 and it does fine. The magnet and arm is strong enough to hold the camera but am very sure you will get movement from the mirror and shutter with the camera extended on the arm. John

You are correct. 1300N = about 292 lbs. of magnetic holding force. The 44lbs. refers to how much the arm can hold by itself.

Is the mounting hole 8mm or 10mm?
