Just plain dry, dry dry!
THE WORST FRUIT CAKE EVER. And, I love fruitcake. This is EXTREMELY DRY and crumbly. The icing and marzipan puts the sweetness level over the top. I have never eaten this type fruitcake before but I do have cousins living in the UK who swear this should NOT be a DRY cake. I had a piece with my tea this afternoon but threw the rest away, Sorry, I would not recommend this cake if you were looking for something moist and fruity.

It was a pretty cake, packaged well. It contained good ingredients and had a marzipan icing. But it was awfully dry.

I was excited to get it since amazon stopped carrying the other brand I liked... But this one was just too dry. I had to douse it with butter & brandy..., But still not quite like what "Mom used to make"....

Lovely taste
Living in florida... you don’t find Christmas cake!! So I was super happy to find this... and the taste was absolutely spot on!!! Loved it!! We got 9 decent sized pieces out of it! Perfect!!

Arrived as described but I wasn’t too impressed. Marzipan layer was very hard and fruit cake was dry. Perhaps the one I received was stale or from an older batch.
