For once I can see bird activity from my favorite chair! This was easy to assemble and is very sturdy and sits firmly on the patio surface. Even with squirrels running up and down and birds feeding it is secure. Wind is not an issue either. I put two 8" terra-cotta plates in the round sections for a different selection of seed. I find that the squirrels leave the feeders alone if they have something for them. I do have one squirrel proof feeder, and seeing them try to eat from it is a great comedy routine. Really like this set up. Update: I had a squirrel die on the feeder, somehow getting caught and injured between the pole and the base of one of the "arms." Not a happy occurrence! I have now used zip ties to bring the base of each "arm" closer to the pole so that nothing can get caught. It's a great feeder, and this was a fluke accident, but I don't want it to happen again. Another update 4-19; Another squirrel was caught between the hangers and the pole! Thankfully, we caught it in time to free him. I have now used duct tape to pull the hangers closer to the pole. Not attractive, but I hope it works. This is definitely a design flaw.

Exceeds my expectations. A very sturdy and attractive solution to hanging bird feeders when the HOA demanded I take down my roof mounts. I weigh down the base with planters to provide extra support. Assembly instructions were not clear, but anyone can wing it.

This is a very sturdy item at a good price. I have only three complaints: 1) When the rings are attached, they are not level - it would not be possible to put a saucer under a pot that was too small to be held up by the ring alone, without it slanting noticeably; 2) I have a set of three identical pots that I wanted to place on this stand, and this only came with two rings, so I ordered a spare ring. I put all of them on, and find that the one ring enough larger than the other two that it allows the pot to slide all the way through - although just barely. I have used it for a different pot, and the stand is together holding an amazing amount of my plants, and looks great; 3) in manufacturing someone must have put a clamp on one of the rings a bit too tight, as there are noticeable divots out of the neck where it bends to go into making the ring. This is a slight cosmetic imperfection only. The entire stand tilts slightly even before plants are added, which is ok, as my balcony tilts slightly and when arranged properly it looks as if it's perfectly vertical. For the price, I don't think you would find a better stand to hold numerous plants in a such a small footprint. This stand has some heft, and should stand up well except in a very strong wind.

I was hesitant to purchase this at first, especially given some of the negative reviews. My husband said "if you want it just get it!" I did and I am so happy I did. I love it. It has given us great pleasure and entertainment all summer. I cannot wait to see the birds use the feeders this winter. I had a major freak out attack ;-) when I opened up the box. For the life of me, I could not figure out how to put the O-rings on it. So, I decided to read the directions. Then, I put it together IN the house. I cannot describe the feeling of accomplishment that coursed through me after having put the unwieldy, sturdy contraption together. I was even more impressed with my skills when I had to take the WHOLE THING APART because it wouldn't fit through the kitchen door to go outside on the back deck. I was thrilled (NOT!) that the second time of putting it together equaled the same amount of time it took the Ist time I put it together. Those 0-rings are the dickens! But, once I put it back together outside, it was so easy to load the bird feeders. Refilling the feeders is so easy. I absolutely love this contraption and would go through every bit of consternation in putting it together again for the sheer pleasure that we have had with the variety and beauty of birds that have visited us. It's very sturdy. Doesn't tip over in wind, during squirrel attacks or in holding up heavy bird feeders. I appreciated the suggestion of one of the reviewers to use the hose clamps. I am going to attach those before winter. This has been one of my most favorite things I have ever ordered from Amazon.

This is an amazing feeder pole it looks elegant and is very sturdy. It works a bit different from other poles that I've used but was easy to get used to and now that the weather is warming up here I am really looking forward to using the plant holders to make my feeder even more beautiful. I added some support to the base as it can get quite windy here and the ground where I put my feeders is quite soft. Cinder blocks work really well and are easy to decorate, I use a cinder block at the base of all of my feeder poles. It provides weight and solid support on two sides, if you feel you need more support you can find rocks to wedge inside and support the pole on all sides. Cinder blocks only cost a couple of bucks and are well worth it to prevent your poles from leaning.

I really needed something that was high enough, sturdy enough, and stable enough to hang my birds of paradise and later will add plants. This was perfect! Easy to assemble and at a great price point. I like the versatility of it. Can adjust the height of the hooks on the pole and turn then left or right to the desired position. It was delivered ahead of time too. Very happy with this purchase. It fit my needs and adds character to my space.

Wow the best for deck spaces. Beautiful and sturdy

Our neighbours have asked us where we got this lovely stand. We have a hummingbird feeder, bird house, potted annuals and some solar lanterns on it. Adjustable, sturdy but yet minimalistic. Perfect solution for our deck!

Good for money

We live in an apartment building, so this was perfect for our balcony since the majority of bird feeder stands are meant to go directly into grass. The reason I bought it was so that my cat would have something to look at as the birds came up to eat from it. Best purchase ever. (And yes, I may be a tad of a crazy cat lady) I decided not to use the plastic plate on the bottom as I didn't want standing water collecting, but overall, it's a great product.

Very good quality. I set it up in the corner of my back deck and it is beautifull. It feels very sturdy on it's own but I tied it down as a precaution. I took away one star because the bottom pole did not fit into the stand easily and I had to do some work to get it in but it should really go further.
