Very good purchase works good.

I tried the rubber first but the middle bulge won't insert into the hole. So, I switched to the plastic that fit up to the protruding 2 plastic tabs right below the nut rim. This worried me due to the rim didn't flush with the porcelain. I debated with breaking the tabs but thought they will break off on their own when I tighten the toilet seat bolts down snugly. That didn't happen. Tabs are still obstructing my seat from becoming flush at the porcelain hole. I am sitting on the seat with my considerable weight hoping the tabs would give, but no luck. What now?

This was the fix I was looking for! It worked well on my Kohler one piece toilet. It took a little doing to get the rubber mounts to go in the opening on the toilet at first, but now everything is tight and stable. I actually think this is better than the original mounting hardware.
