Surprisingly good pipe, the metal filter works well and inspite of the small bowl size, takes in a fair bit of tobacco.

Have to admit it was better than I expected. The filter is one of those metal filters you can order or buy, but totally reusable and they really are easy to clean. There is no o ring on this pipe but the mouthpiece fits tightly into the bowl for some length and seems like it would last a long time this way. It was a little hard to remove the first time I had to twist and pull a little hard to get it to come apart, but after that it wasn't bad at all. Mine doesn't leak any air which is good. The heat resistance is very good as can be expected with a good walled Briar wood pipe. I was really amazed at how easy it s to blow the tar back out of the little metal filter tube and pull it out and clean it. It works really well as a filter also. This was my first experience using a metal filter and I was a little impressed with it. Those metal screens are reusable too I've been cleaning and using the same one for a week now with no issues.

I got this pipe for marriage iguana use. It holds the equivalent of about 6 bowls. I usually put a steel circular mesh just above the bottom of the pipe (a little room for airflow) and then put about 2-3 bowls worth in it. Classy looking, no off flavour, no weird glue, very solid feeling. It hasn’t clogged up in over a month of heavy use. The cleaning tools and accessories actually work well, and I bring the stand with me literally everywhere I smoke this pipe. It’s compact and holds the pipe up sturdily. Just a great value!

great starter kit, 'BUT' the stem {mouthpiece/connector} is not a one piece {given it has a wee connector from stem to bowl} this should have been ONE SOLID PIECE after second twist off connector stuck with bowl rather then mouth piece, once I removed connector from bowl {very carefully with pliers} I applied a very tiny bit of epoxy to connector {all round it} then carefully reinsert it back into mouth piece, left it for 24hrs {to fully dry} before using pipe now connector stays where it was suppose to {in the mouth piece}.
