Q: How long after opening is the product effective?

So far it still appears to work well and at this stage we only use it twice a week as his eyes are pretty good. Would venture a guess and say you would use the bottle contents before any degradation of the product. Note we use eye wipes also every morning and that is quick and easy.

Q: Does this product only work with white dogs or will it also work with bulldogs?

Actually this product did not work on my dog...but I found a wonderful product that does work: Angel Eyes. Put a little tiny scoop on daily and all the pink redness and weepy stuff goes away. It does take about a month for it to completely clear up so stick with the Angel Eyes. .

Q: What are the ingredients in this product?

According to the manufacturer's website, this product contains the following active ingredients: Boric Acid – is a natural cleanser and antibacterial that is used in well-established eye washes to help relieve irritation and discomfort. Witch Hazel – its astringent properties are perfect for killing bacteria and also drying the area affected by tear stains. Colloidal Silver – a natural antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory, which mimics the properties of antibiotics. This will help control and stop the growth of bacteria, causing the tears stains.

Q: Is this placed in food?

No. It is applied topically with a cotton pad (the liquid) followed by a dab of powder applied with your finger. I have been using it for several years on my bichon frise dogs and it was recommended by my breeder
