I can’t believe how much I enjoyed this one . Miss Julia is an amazing woman!!!

When times get tough, the tough get going! When the very proper Miss Julia finds out that Lillian, her good friend and loyal employee, along with everyone on her street is going to be evicted from their homes in a matterof days, she goes into action to try to raise enough money to buy the property so the house can be fixed up and people can move back into their homes again. When a Motorcycle poker run is suggest to raise some serious money, she can support the event as long as she doesn’t have to get on one. Heaven forbid, she doesn’t even have a pair of pants; it’s dresses only for her! They say everyone has their price and she finds out hers. I think you will enjoy this book.you’ll

This was different from the other Miss Julia books I have read. It has comedy, recognition of women getting out from under their husbands' thumb, as well as suspense!

I love the books-and the characters. Miss Julia is the old school elderly lady-and as she continues to show her independence, smarts and tenacity as she grows to accept the world around her-and love opens her heart. These books are well written-you can picture the scene as you are in it-and have a hearty laugh or a moan of concern! You will enjoy it whole heartedly!

Miss Julia is at the top of the list of literary characters I love. I have not read any Miss Julia stories I have not liked. Miss Julia hits the road is no exception. The story line is interesting and engaging. Miss Julia as usual is her compassionate and semi-realistic self. She is both judgmental and non-judgmental depending on who she is feeling sorry for. Lillian, the lady who keeps house for her is more prominently included in the story here and is much more dimensional. The story is both thought provoking and hilarious. I laughed out loud reading parts of this story especially the night expedition to the top of a hill where a spring that has “powerful water” comes out of the ground.I highly recommend this wonderful book.

The "Miss Julia" book series is very entertaining! I have purchased and enjoyed every single book of this series and will buy each new book as soon as they are available in the future. I have passed the book series on to several different people and each of them enjoyed the reading as much as I did. I recommend that readers start from Book 1 and make your way through the entire series.

One of my favorite in the series. I get tickled thinking about Julia in a sidecar. She definitely says some funny things too

The miss Julia books are entertaining, funny and so enjoyable.

I liked the fast-moving pace of the book and that Miss prim-and-proper Julia finally agreed to get on the motorcycle in order to save Lillian and her friends' houses as well as her own. Miss Julia cares about people and will do what she can to help them. That's praiseworthy.

Great fun read. As usual she's in charge, well, except when Mr. Pickens is! Nice story.

Yes indeedy! and whilst solving another nasty crime in her indomitable Southern Belle style, we do feel for her having to ram that helmet over her perfect hair (even though, by the end of the story she is rather liking the excitement (but will never tell you that!)

Quite silly as usual, but wouldn't be Miss Julia if it wasn't. Builds to a great climax when she races in a side car for charity.

Lovely! A gentle story about southern America 1950s manners and expectations. No violence, sex or nasties. Just the job for temporarily escapint the naughty noughties!
