Make a salad for dinner guests without the lettuce turning brown
This was the second set of ceramic knives I bought my mother. They have their own sheaths as well. They are a great price. They are very good for cutting lettuce without it turning brown. You can pre-make thing's like that and save a lot of time. Friends of hers had never seen a ceramic knife before. Friends at dinner parties began to help her cook and do prep work. My folks entertain a lot. When you have fifteen guest's or more two plus times a week having a lot of knives helps. They seem to be durable, she's had them for over a year now. I was surprised that they hold an edge pretty well. They are easy to wash. She likes these a lot. When I visited them I was surprised that for the price you pay you get a high quality product.

Cut bread with ease - crisp edges and leaves almost no crumbs
I have heard ceramic blade being better than steel counterpart but never tried it before. This is the first time I purchased and experienced the difference.I saw and sensed the design quality at the first glance of the set. I especially like the sheaths, one well fit sheath for each knife – it provides good protection and is ideal for travel. The knife is a lot lighter than a regular steel knife, very easy to handle. The handle is of the hard surface but with soft grip, feel very smooth and comfortable to hold. The 6" Bread Knife is the main reason I buy this set for. Even for the soft bread, I can cut slices with ease. For the bread slightly harder, the cut is so easy with crisp edges and creates almost no crumbs. I really like the set and highly recommend it to others.

Coiwin Kitchen Cutlery Black Ceramic Knife Set With Sheaths with peeler
Coiwin Kitchen Cutlery Black Ceramic Knife Set With Sheaths - Super Sharp & Rust Proof & Stain Resistant ( 6" Chef Knife, 5" Utility Knife, 4" Fruit Knife, 3" Paring Knife, One Peeler )I purchased these knives to test out the ceramic utility and to see how long they would last. I paid only $20.80 with free Prime shipping. I put the peeler in the kitchen. The knives are mine to use in my cave and work area. I won't abuse them and will use them lightly. Nice sheaths, but a little awkward at first. No, the knives really aren't that sharp, due to the utility edge and angle, but have a utility edge for use, without chipping too easily, but yes they can chip and I know this going in. I really like the feel of the knifes in the hand and the balance is good enough for their quality and price. I like them so far.

Nice set of ceramic knifes
Received this knife set about a week ago and was already impressed with the quality out of the box. The set looks stylish with the black ceramic blades and the silicone-feel handles. I also like that each knife has its own sheath so I can just toss them inside my knife drawer without worrying chips or getting cut. After using them for about a week, I like them more as they are sharp! They cut through meat with ease. I also like the smallest one for cutting fruits. They meet all my expectations and the price is right too.

Economical, Stylish, but Not Versaitle
Bought this set because our bread knife sucks and the handle on another (different brand) ceramic knife broke. The set is okay. I like the look of black ceramic, both because it's more striking, but also because it hides stains and discolorations. The handles are nice too; they're a soft-touch rubberized polymer. They're not terribly ergonomic, though, and I find myself trying to cut in a way that leaves little of the handle in my grip. This could also be because this set is really just two styles of knife, with the traditional style replicated in 3 sizes. The bread knife is very useful, especially on frozen bread, and cuts much cleaner and narrower than a traditional steel knife (especially useful if you buy bakery hamburger / hotdog buns that aren't pre-cut). The biggest pointed knife is excellent for cutting boneless meats, larger vegetables, things like that. The second two knives are sort-of useful but mostly a replication. In fact, the smallest knife, ostensibly a paring knife, is too long to work well as a paring knife. The whole idea of a paring knife is to be able to hold it close and firmly in one hand and make small, precise cuts. That's hard to do with this knife, and the end is way too pointed, to a degree that makes it a little dangerous to use as a paring knife. I was hoping to find a reasonably priced and well-reviewed knife set with a santoku style knife (boxy, with a flat cutting edge). That style is excellent for chopping and dicing. One final gripe: compared with the Kitchenaid brand of ceramic knives, these don't seem quite as sharp. Without a microscope, it's hard to tell with this thing, and of course, ceramic knives cannot be sharpened by the end-user. But it just seems like when cutting through tomatoes or other fruits and vegetables that have thicker or tougher skins, the knives aren't quite as eager to cut through as the Kitchenaid knives.( as a final note, I would say that I ended up buying these knives because the big, general purpose cutting knife I had from Kitchenaid broke. Surprisingly, the blade was never damaged or had any issues, but rather, the plastic handle degraded and the seat of the blade pushed through the back of the handle and fell out. I assume this is because I washed these knives regularly in the dishwasher, and the heat and acidity probably degraded the plastic. I would recommend hand washing only, even though most of these listings don't specifically say one way or the other, and the instructions aren't clear on that either. Ideally, the blades would be held in place with one or two bolts, as with a lot of steel knives, but I suppose that could be a way to sell these for cheaper, and also because you're not supposed to be forcefully chopping with ceramic )

This set looks like it will last a long time
Very happy with these. They look very good, are sharp and lay well in my hand. Time will tell how they hold up, but I've had ceramic knives before and they stayed sharp for literally years! They are great especially for veggies, lettuce etc. The only thing you have to watch out for is not to drop them on a tiled floor, because then they can break (happened to me once - the tip broke off). This set looks like it will last a long time.

AMAZING KNIVES
We've been using these knives since August- nearly every day, and have yet to have any issues with them! In fact, Im buying a second set as well. If you love sleek looking, light weight, heavy duty, extremely sharp ceramic knifes, for an extremely affordable price, THESE are for you! (The only con is that they will break if used on extremely hard objects like an avocado pit).
