Infectious disease knows no boundaries; citizens of earth have been so instructed by the Covid pandemic.That is why a book such as this is so vital for medical providers and allied professions.This is a wonderful book that I choose to call a saga rather than an encyclopedia of disease, as it it written with the reader in mind.Yes it is 930 pages long, but that is due to the many great photographs and diagrams to make it easy reading.This is my favorite infectious disease textbook, and I have read may over 47 years in practice.I strongly recommend it to my fellow compatriots who have a fascination about infectious diseases that plague humanity.You might be surprised in how many varied organisms are present in our own country, and you might gain a great deal of empathy for what our fellow earthlings have to endure in their lives.This is a great book.Thomas Weisman MDTucson, Arizona
