They are a bit of a pain to install on some fly lines. I lay the line inside a large phone book with the end flush with the pages edge. Press down hard and tap the eyelet in. I’ve used them for over 30 years and love them.Be aware of the size you need. A larger looped leader will not pass through the smaller ones.

I was a fairly proficient fly fisherman in my youth and just got back into it. These gutsy are great. Just keep tying new leader on and go. Took some effort to get it inserted in the hollow floater line. Once in, it is very secure.

I use these with size 7 and size 9 line and I have to spread out the opening in the fly line in order to get the eyelet seated all the way inside the line. I've never been able to get one more than halfway in, so I start by opening the end of the line a bit with an ice pick tip and follow up with a welding torch tip cleaner.

I felt like the barbs didn’t grab right. Could be user error but I didn’t have this problem with other brands. Still have some, and am willing to give them another chance.

These eyelets are a must for fly fishing with an invisable union between fly line and leader.

I got the small and it was too large for the line I was try to insert into. Should be fine for weight forward lines.

As many places as we had been to and been told they were not being sold anymore. And we would have to buy the new Thing!. Finaly looking in Amazon and finding them. Made my day. Thank you. Just what we wanted.
