Colore Colored Pencils 72 Premium Pre-Sharpened Color Pencil Set

I don't think I've ever left a one star review before but this just irks me. I purchased this to go in a gift basket for my granddaughter along with some coloring books that are all the trend lately. The box they came in had previously been opened and had a tab missing on the bottom flap so it could not stay closed so when I pulled it out of the envelope it came in colored pencils flew all over. So I tape the box and start putting them back in all the while counting and instead of 72 premium colored pencils I received 69.Edited version: I originally left a one star basically for packaging purposes and the box was short 3 pencils. Colore Art responded to my complaint and sent me a new box of pencils at no extra charge. I love when a company goes above and beyond with customer service. I now have a lovely box of pencils to give as a gift and my faith is restored that there are still companies out there who really care what their customers think. The pencils are of such good quality that I think I might buy a box for other gifts.

I have been happily using Crayola pencils for 'adult' coloring books. I really do enjoy adult coloring as a hobby and wanted to learn a bit more technique. Decided to give this set a try since it was a very good price on Amazon with good reviews. So happy I did! Watched a couple of Youtube videos to learn how to blend with colored pencils, which I was able to easily apply using this set because they are 'softer' than Crayola pencils and blend easily. I found I can use a very light swirling touch using a sharp point to apply color in layers. The colors are really rich and you can make them as vibrant as you want with layering or pressure, which ever you prefer. I also like the range of shades across colors in this set.For me, the two things I did notice as compared to the Crayola set, are:1. It's not as easy to sharpen these with my manual pencil sharpener as the Crayola set - I might purchase an electric sharpener.2. The colors painted on the ends of the pencils are muted and dont really represent the actual color - I select by 'tip' colorIf you are looking for a softer colored pencil, that blends easily at a reasonable price, I would recommend giving this set a try.

I got my package of pencils and the box was opened and pencils were everywhere. 10 of the pencils were broken. There was a hole in the envelope, and I could fit two of my fingers through it. Very disappointed in that. Now that I've had a chance to use them, I'm Very happy with the pencils. I'm not an artist like some other's on here, but I have used several different brands of pencils. I bought these cause one reviewer said these were comparable to Prismacolors. So I decided to go ahead and take a chance. I am VERY pleased. I've used Prismacolor and I would have to say, these feel and preform pretty close to them. Again, I'm not an artist, I'm just starting out so I'm learning...but these pencils are Wonderful! They are Way cheaper than Prismacolor, and they act just like them. I'm just disappointed in the condition i received them in! I would like to give 5 stars, but with 10 broken pencils and the box being broken i just can't.

These are soft and smoothe, bright as pennies. Had a lot of broken leads, and the barrels on some haven't been sanded down so the are really hard to work with. Not as soft as Prismas, but not as hard ad Prismas Verithins. Wish they had more colors.Blend well. 14 greens,11 blues, yellows 5,22 peaches,pinks, reds and oranges, 8 browns 3 grays. Heavy on the greens but they are usually the most used. Only #s no names which can be rough but I learned to put all colors on sheet with names, or #s because you cant tell the color frome the outside colors. I would have given 5*s except the broken leads10, and the unfinished barrels, limited colors, and price. , blend well soft. Company sent replacements. They are worse than the 1st set. ! whole row no leads, Some pencils had to be sharpened half way, some all the way to color line. Guess its the luck of the draw

I'm a big fan of the colore brand, I have 2 other sets and love them. they are the sets that come in the tins, 48 and 72. I bought this set assuming the quality would be the same. I was wrong, the leads are loose and fall outveryeasily. sharpening is a night mare. the leads continue to fall out. very frustrating, the good pencils are the black barrelled ones. these are natural colored, I don't know if that matters. I'm going to write to the manufacturing company to let them know.

I have just started in the adult coloring craze, although at 65 I have colored for years only mostly with crayons, who knew there were so many different brands and each seem to "lay down" as they say differently! I LOVE these pencils, I love the way they feel in my hand, the colors are rich and vibrant, I would surely buy from this seller again!

I am enjoying the Colore line of colored penciled so much! I have purchased some for myself and some as gifts for the girls in my family who also like adult coloring.The natural wood smell of these pencils when I opened the box was wonderful :). They are attractive pencils with a high-end look and feel to them. They arrive pre-sharpened and ready to use.The bottom inch or so is finished in the color of the pencil core, then there is a silver stripe. The rest of the pencil is natural wood, very attractive. The pencils don’t have individual color names printed on them but they do have unique color numbers printed on each pencil.This set of 72 pencils arrives packaged in a box so I don’t consider that adequate for permanent storage. I transferred mine to a cute pencil case.I’m not a professional artist. I enjoy adult coloring and other arts and crafts. I’m trying to work up the courage to do some of my own original drawing and artwork. In my opinion, these are great for someone at my level.This 72 piece set contains an awesome selection of colors. They sharpen to a nice fine point and don’t break easily or wear down too quickly. They lay down bright and vibrant color, blending and shading very easily.I highly recommend this 72 Premium Pre-Sharpened Colored Pencil Set by Colore and other colored pencil sets in the Colore line.

These pencils were bought as a Christmas present but almost every single one was broken! The leads were around 2cm long in each pencil, very little colouring got done as most of the time was taken up with sharpening. One star because I don't have the option of posting no stars!

Loved these. Bought for my teenage daughter for her birthday. She has done some beautiful work with them. The colours are really vibrant. Very good value.
