Sturdier than similar designs
A few years back, there was a manufacturer of raised beds selling affordable beds in cedar and pine. They had a great design that made them a breeze to put together. No tools needed.Since then, I've been seeing a lot of manufacturers I've never heard of using the same design. This one is similar, but with the addition of pre-drilled screw holes and accompanying hardware to more firmly join the pieces together.This makes it sturdier than similar designs I have in my yard, several of which split at the joints just two or three years into use. That shouldn't be a danger here. Wood rot? Yes, eventually. But likely not joint splits.I've never used spruce before, only standard pine and cedar, so I can't speaking to the longevity to expect here. (NOTE: Spruce is a *type* of pine, but unless I'm mistaken, most of the cheaper beds are made from fir pine. If someone corrects me, I'll be happy to update this review.) It's supposedly a little more long-lasting than fir pine but not quite as long-lasting as cedar. Only time will tell. In the meantime, I treated this wood with linseed oil -- only use raw linseed oil! -- and got it set up for a round of winter gardening to break it in.Setup was easy. Slot the pieces together and turn a few screws. Add some optional corner brackets if you really want to reinforce it.Once assembled, it looks like every other raised bed in the yard. If you already have existing wood raised beds, this will blend in nicely. And if you don't, this is as good a place to start as any, if 2' x 8' is the right size for you.Overall, I wasn't sold on the price, since you can get somewhat comparable beds for a little less, but spruce is supposedly a better type of pine for raised beds (though I don't actually know if this is true), and it fits together securely, so overall I rate this a solid piece of work, based on experience with using around 20 raised beds in the past.

Pretty nice Raised Bed using excellent wood choice. Installation relatively simple.
This Raised Bed Garden system comes well packed and ready for assembly. All components and parts are easily recognized.The finished assembly results in an 8ft x 2 ft area size with almost 10-in of height. The Spruce wood planks and posts is a much better option than cheaper pine and should last more seasons than other types of wood used in most raised bed gardens. (NOTE: If growing edible plants...NEVER use treated wood for a garden! This spruce is safe)The bed is pretty strong and will withstand soil expansion pressures, remaining stable in place.The width of 24in makes it easy to reach to the middle without effort from either long side of the bed. 8ft length provides a lot of room for a good number of plants to be grown. The 10in Height is sufficient for most people but some would prefer taller sides to 12 or 16 inches. Tilling the soil under the bed before assembly is most beneficial and productive for good root development.All in all, I like this Raised Bed Garden setup. I am one of those who would prefer higher sides, but this will work well nonetheless. I especially like the choice of wood for the bed. I rate it at a low FIVE STARS and expect it to last for at least a couple of full seasons before the wood begins to potentially deteriorate. It gets my honest recommendation! Happy Growing!*If you found my review helpful to you, PLEASE let Amazon know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!

Quality materials, easy assembly
This MESIXI raised garden bed arrived quickly and was well protected in transit. It is exactly as pictured and described. The assembly instructions are easy to follow and my husband and I assembled it within a half hour. The wood is untreated and natural. However, in our climate (southeast USA) natural, untreated wood will deteriorate very quickly. We are considering staining and sealing the wood, or painting it with an exterior paint. That said, it's very sturdy and we're excited to use it this spring for herbs. Overall, the quality, assembly, and sturdiness is fantastic! My only hang up is the price. At our local co-op, you can buy similar garden beds that are less expensive.✅ Eco Friendly Material : 100% natural non-paint and non-toxic spruce wood from northern Europe is constructed to this planter raised beds,so the lumbers are more tough and light than others,with natural woody fragrance that your tomatoes and strawberries can breathe and grow more freely in a untreated no chemical raised planter box in your garden,backyard, patio and balcony;✅ Easy Assembly:hardwares and manual are included,slide the panel into the posts and lock them into pre-drilled holes with screws,just a few minutes it will be done;a set of garden accessories tools(garden shovel, digging gloves,hand rake,screwdriver) for free will come with the planter raised beds,so you can enjoy gardening immediately;✅ Ample Space:96 inches at length provide a spacious growing space for planting vegetables, herbs and flowers;with the baffle in or out you have the choice to separate 2 areas for different plants or not;without bottom at the raised garden bed,allows deep-rooted plants to growth freely and keeps the maximum moisture for them;you can also add a self watering planter insert;overall dimension 96''(L)x24''(W)x10''(H);
