TOTP’s SETLIST’S FOR NERDS
All the undocumented setlists of the show right back from its conception up & till 1975 when the BBC finally started saving all its recordings M, what a major culture loss to the U.K. that was. So luckily we have meticulous ppl like Peter Checkfield to painstakingly re-build the lost history 5 Stars information too, if you love still all that music memorabilia & music in general , it’s well worth buying…. I’m OCD music , listen 24/7 & love compiling mixes & playlist in my own vast personal collection ( 337k ) but have over the years copied a few hundred to Spotify & in YouTube video playlist also under ANDREW HARRY BRIGGS ( thank me later )

Birthday present
Bought for music/totp mad dad! Very impressed well written and hasn't censored out some of the other things the BBC like to pretend never happened. Must have for any fan.

A great trip down memory lane
Nothing to dislike. Fantastic to relate the actual performances to a time you can remember

A researchers paradise
Superb and highly detailed analysis of who presented and appeared on every show, what they performed and whether this was live or on video.Don't expect a load of pictures-there are some snapshot pages in b&w,but more would have pushed the price way up.For researchers, obsessives and anyone who wants to remember when!Great stuff!

excellent
Well researched and compiled, an excellent sort of reference for those interested. Some great anecdotes by 50 acts who appeared on the show.

Top Of The Pops The Lost Years
If used as a guide for Top Of The Pops it is good - if used to find out what’s exist in the archives it is inaccurate as stuff that I know exists is listed as missing such as the Rolling Stones 2000 Light Years From Home and the various Beatles videos. I would expect that the majority of the missing videos will exist in the vaults of the various record companies that own them. The book is misleading and inaccurate.
