ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Phoenix Fan Edition DVI-D HDMI DP 1.4 Gaming Graphics Card (PH-GTX1050TI-4G) Graphic Cards

I bought this to replace an ATI era hd 4850 video card. Yes the video card from the year 2008 if I remember correctly. Anyway I knew even buying a budget card would be a massive improvement. After all the ATI 4850 only came out with 512MB of ram! Yes thats right MB not GB. Moving forward after looking online for a new video card I was sticker shocked. I guess something called bitcoin mining has made the demand for video cards crazy high right now. the Date is 4/5/2018 at the time I'm writing this. However I needed a video card and I didn't want to sell my soul for one. So after realizing the 1060 was just too much I settled for the 1050 ti over the 1050. The reason.... I wanted 4gb of ram.... not the 2gb that comes with non Ti version. I have been burned by not buying enough ram but never by buying too much. So I did a search and it seemed that the 1050 ti series seems to be higher in price over their MSRP due to this mining stuff going on. However this card seemed to be the best bang for the buck and I have heard of ASUS before since I have owned many of their motherboards and knew they made quality products. So with limited stock and the prices seeming to be going up every day I placed my order at the 216 price and a few days later it arrived. I installed the card with little issue and loved the fact I didn't have to use an external power cord for the video card like the ATI Radeon 4850 used. Amazing isn't it that a card with almost 4 times the ram and many many times the computing power over my old card didn't even need the amount of power my old 2008 4850 card needed. Good job Nvidia! Anyway now I can play (WOT) World of Tanks at over 100fps using almost the highest settings. The new maps in Patch 1.0 look amazing with this card. I plan on loading more games once I find my Steam password again. However I am pleased even though this is not a barn burner video card it plays many games perfectly fine even though you might not be able to play them at maximum video settings. I hope this holds out until the prices of video cards come down. its sad what is happening right now in the video card world! I just checked and the cheapest I can get this card seems to be 267 dollars. :( the price has just gone up that much in about 1 week. Anyway time will tell if this card holds up but I am fine with it even though a little piffed that I had to pay a higher price than they would be going for if this mining stuff wasn't going on. If you are upgrading your current GPU card then this budget card is the one to get. Keep in mind that you should check your motherboard or GPU specs and see if it supports PCIe 16, x16 or dual x8. Since this 1050 Ti is PCIe 3 it still works fine in a PCIe 2.0 slot. My Specs: OS - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit MOBO - ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. 970 PRO GAMING/AURA (Socket 942)CPU - AMD FX-8350 Vishera 32nm Technology GPU - 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti RAM - GSkill 32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz (11-11-11-28) Drive - Samsung SSD 870 QVO 2TB (SATA (SSD) The MOBO is a few years old but you have no worries if your current setup supports PCI-E X16 slot. Suggestion is to run a GPU test on it with NovaBench and/or Unigine Heaven Benchmark apps. Another suggestion is to remove all of of your old graphic drivers before you install this new GPU card and then install the new drivers for this card and do a fresh install. I achieved up to 150 fps during bench marking with no hiccups. Great card - glad I got it. Cheers!

Built a new computer for my home office. I don't do any heavy gaming but I want speed and reliability from all my components. I chose ASUS because of my past experience and I am using an ASUS motherboard and know there won't by any compatibility problems using a GTX 1050 Ti ASUS card. I was afraid that at this low price I was going to get a dog of a graphics card even though I don't need a fast GPU for my home computer. This card does a fantastic job for the price. I ran some GPU performance tests and very surprised how well this card ran. Buy it before they realize they have it priced too low. UPDATE - Purchased this card two years ago. It has worked perfectly and doesn't even break a sweat and is super quiet. I paid $154 and the price is now $350. I thought the price was unbelievably low when I purchased it. Seems I was right. I would pay the $350 for it now. It's a great graphics card for the lite user.

Let me start by saying I am not a gamer, Play Station games on PCSX2 emulator is the most demanding I play. I was suprised to see that games even an old game like Sly2 would play at all with integrated graphics; it has slow choppy parts; however using the 1050ti GPU speeds up the slow down spots and makes great game play: better than it was 18 years ago. The 1050 came out more than 6 years ago so you may think it outdated in 2022; I ASUS thinks so: the driver was updated in July 2022 and I think they would have wasted the resources on Updates for outdated hardware. When I built my pc a few years ago the price of graphics cards was through the roof, I planned to upgrade later, I was so happy to find such a well manufactured card at such a low price! The only negative is the card card came in a box with just a two page manual, no CD, no posters, nothing else; but that is all I needed, I would have visited the website to download the latest driver anyway, and as for the books and ads who looks at those anyway?

This is one of the best thing that I've bought for my money.. Excellent!! Recived in good condition packaging was good.. And it can handle any thing i throw at it.. Not 4k ultra gaming.. But for 1080p medium high setting.. You can rock with it.. Games that i tried- GTA 5- 1080p ultra setting.. Advance graphics off(you can on some effects too) 45 to 65 fps avg Rise of the tomb raider- 1080p very high 60 fps avg Watch dogs 2 - 1080p very high avg 45 fps(but thats fine for me.. Cuz game is very poorly optimized) Watch dogs-1080p low to ultra ( shutters on every setting Deus ex Man Kind divided-very high( 40 fps) Project Cars-1080p Ultra ( 50 to 60 fps) It best pairs with pentium g4560 or ryzen 3 1200.. But for current pricing in market.. I would say go for ryzen with it.. I hope this information helps you..

Wow in 2024 I still have it on my computer, it must be 2 years old. Obviously it's obsolete for new games BUT it's super compatible in Linux Mint and there are a LOT of application using the GPU and parallel processing nowadays. This GPU is still over the top of it's game for 75w total, for many things other then games, like using Google Earth. On Darktable / Gimp i can work with a 575mb pictures without any problems, parallel processing with real time effects, the GPU won't even reach 50%. I can easily upscale a 24 megapixels pictures 5x with this GPU using Upscayl, in less then 10 minutes of processing per picture. Frankly it can run a lot of older games as well. Still love it! The fan is still silent too.
