Libbey Bar Essentials Double Old Fashioned Glasses, 12 oz, Clear Restaurant Quality Drinking Glasses Set of 6, Modern Rocks Glass Set for Everyday Use

This is the second set of these glasses I have purchased. I like the simplicity of design and the weight of the glasses. They are very substantial. The shape makes them very comfortable and easy to hold.

Very substantial glassware. The glasses look nice and have very impressive weight and stability. They feel good to the grip and seem really tough.

Sturdy, clear and actually dishwashable.

Not sure these are real “Libbey” pint glasses, but they do not have the distinctive “L” marking on the bottom. (All of my older Libbey pint glasses have that mark). For that I am knocking off a star because seller is advertising them as Libbey when it seems they are not.I purchased 6 glasses for $30, overpriced but I was in a hurry to get these as a gift.(For comparison, my local BevMo store sells authentic Libbey pints for 3.49 but they were out of stock)Sold by P&V GROUP USA LLC, not sure if other vendors are selling real Libbey, or are they apparent knockoffs?On the plus side: these glasses are clear and weigh almost as much as my older Libbey pint glasses, about 16 grams lighter. Same height as old Libbey pints; they look decent and will probably work fine.Note- Missing is the distinctive “L” mark of Libbey on bottom, so just know you may not be getting US-made, but could be cheaper foreign or China- made glass? Disappointing.Each glass has a different number marking on the bottom. Not sure what that means but might indicate number from the different glass molds.Also note: glasses were wrapped in a copious amount of bubble wrap, then put in a plastic bag. That bag was placed in an Amazon box.I was expecting a divided storage box, but I imagine these glasses are shipped from a huge bulk order of glasses, no divided boxes included.Some may want to know this as I was hoping a box would be available for storage/gifting.Also: it’s a ridiculous amount of plastic. I’ll find a person who can re-use all that bubble wrap.See photos…

The wife was not sure when I first told her I was purchasing myself 4 Libbey Stockholm Pilsner Beer Glasses for the house. She does not appreciate junky looking beer glasses. I love a frosted mug for my beer (I was using 16oz glass mugs that I would put in the freezer. She did not like those as they were big and clunky and would not fit the built-in bottle holder on our recliner couch). The moment I removed the first glass from the box and let her see and feel it, she fell in love with them. These glasses have a wide circular base with approximately 2 inches of solid glass between the circular base and the point the beer resides in the bottom of the glass. This heavy, wide base makes the Libbey Stockholm Pilsner Beer Glasses the best pilsner glasses I have encountered, including the ones down at the local pub. And, they fit the built-in bottle holder, to boot. While the warnings say not to subject them to extreme temperature changes (most non-oven glassware says that), I put mine in the freezer for a frosty beer anytime I so desire. Just as they promised, the reinforced flat base delivers extra stability for less frequent spilling. And that approximately 2 inches of solid glass between the circular base and the point the beer resides in the bottom of the glass, when taken from the freezer, preserves the perfect temperature to keep your beers colder for longer. That’s a fact Jack! I am living proof that is a true statement. I will never settle for anything other than Libbey Stockholm Pilsner Beer Glasses going forward. I have already told my friends of this splendid deal.

Not too heavy, not too light, stackable, good for cocktails to everyday iced tea.We go through that ‘middle sized’ glass. They get used a lot, they break. We don’t want to replace with anything too fancy but we need something that works for cocktails, kids drinks, and have limited cabinet space so they need to stack. Sure stacking is abhorrent to glass aficionados, but tough - limited space is a reality for most folks and if the “everyday glass” can’t stack then I have to move on.Libby tends to make a solid everyday glass and these hit the mark. They have a nice solid weight to them without being heavy, but they in no way feel fragile. And the taper that allows them to stack (three high in my shelf arrangement - but never when still dishwasher warm, warm glasses get stuck) gives them a solid secure feel in the hand.These are a definite ‘buy again’.Update: we bought-again. They have unfortunately become an all-around popular glass in the house so the original six don’t last between washer loads and getting lost to the kids rooms. Picked up a second set.

Bought these to use daily and also put some in overstock for parties, get together, etc. Wanted them all to match when larger groups get together. I like the weight of them, they feel durable. Been through the washer a few times and still looking new. Feel like they are worth what I spent on them!
