I wanted a protective case that wasn't just a bunch of plastic. Upon opening the package I liked what I saw. When I installed the phone in the case I discovered 2 deal breaking problems though: The first was that my phone lost connection to the cellular network immediately. The second was that the mute switch wouldn't work. I tied removing the phone from the case and it re-installing it but each time it lost connection and the mute switch would only work once and you were stuck with it. Had to disassemble the case to change the mute switch setting.The signal strength in my office is quite poor so I'm not too surprised it lost connection considering the case wraps the phone in a metal shell but the inability to use the mute switch kills it for me.

I got this for my 16 year old son who had destroyed a $100 Life something case and a $50 Otterbox. It still looks new after giving it to him a few months ago and I haven’t had to replace his screen.

Perfect all around protection for the iPhone. I haven't noticed and loss of signal strength as some other reviewes have mentioned.

Very disappointed. Came with a screw missing and it looks used. Only positive It came before the estimated date.

Within this price range, for superb drop protection in an incredibly strong and attractive package, this case is hard to beat.The frame is constructed from a strong aluminum alloy, and the silicone layer is constructed from thick silicone molded with a shock absorbent, lattice pattern. All buttons are easy to access. One of the cases greatest strengths is the way the down firing speaker is re-routed forward. For those who often use their phone speakers to consume content, this is an amazing feature.About my only two minor gripes are that the ring/silent switch is easily actuated and can be done so accidentally and that though the package claims water resistance, with the number of uncovered openings on the case, it would appear it is only water resistant in the loosest sense of the term.Still all in all, this is an excellent case for the money and for anyone looking for a solid case for outstanding drop protection, I have no qualms about recommending it.

This bad boy is probably one of the most rugged cases I've come across. The Otterboxes do not even compare.Why: To protect my investment, of course!Pros: It is incredibly secure. I'm not sure if it's water-proof - I doubt it but it is definitely shock proof. The front and back are made out of lightweight aluminum that will give it structural reinforcement while the firm rubber will protect it from shock. It is super high quality material in every bit. The glass, I believe, is one of those tempered glass screens and it does not impede your touch.Cons: It is a liiiitle bulky, but what can you do? Also, you have to press the buttons a little harder to reach them since they're under all that rubber - another cost of protection. It does not fit the iPhone 6 camera cut out on the back - oh well, that's why it's for iPhone 7's lol.Would I recommend: 9.6/10 - hell yeah.Tips: Do not over-tighten the screws.

Disclaimer:I bought this case as a new year gift, so unfortunately, pictures does not show it being used on the phone.What can I say? case is very solid, large and "industrial" looking, with excellent machining. It consists of aluminum frame, rubber back and edges and front glass. To install the phone, you have to use included hex screwdriver, to unscrew the front screws. And as said, since case is quite large, I hardly imagine it being used at daily basis. On the attached pictures, you can see it in average female hand. The person, for whom it was bought, is active type, enjoys sports, so she needs good shock protection for her phone. As she said, the case fitted her iphone as it should, and already saved her investment several times. So, if you're looking for a solid case, for ultimate protection, this one will do the trick, but don't forget, it is large, it is heavy and you will need screwdriver each time you need to replace sim or whatsoever (charger ports and buttons are all available instantly, no need for unscrewing)
