The Shack Study Guide: Healing for Your Journey Through Loss, Trauma, and Pain

I had read the book years ago and loved it. Despite the objections that many have to some of the ideas presented, for me it was all about relationship with God. For me it made it so much more real and personal and easy to understand. Back then, there was no movie. After I saw the movie I went on line to find it and I found this. I realized how much healing I needed from past hurts and thought it might be useful in the journey. I have just begun to work through it... and find it to be very worthwhile in bringing up important questions. What you do with it is up to you !

I haven't explored the entire book, but what I have read is very good and as a survivor of a number of passed on loved ones, I see it as very beneficial and I recommend it not only to someone experiencing a loss but to others wanting to support that person.

This is a great accompaniment to the novel "The Shack", especially if the book is being discussed at a book club or other small group. The study guide follows the book chapter by chapter, allowing a deeper understanding of what you are reading.

I've seen the movie twice in order to pick up the things I missed during my first viewing. I purchased this guide to further my understanding of the movie. I've never read the book 'The Shack' but all who have and seen the movie say that it is spot on. It is very thorough and thought provoking. Open up your mind and be honest in answering the suggested points.

The book was in good shape. The first few pages had someone’s notes scribbled into it but those are easy to white out. I purchased this for a friend along with the actual hardcover copy of The Shack after the unexpected loss of one of her adult children. I am hopeful that this may help her, and even the rest of her immediate family, work through their extreme grief in this difficult time.

Love this study guide, has helped me see some of the things I missed while watching the movie...which by the way is an absolutely wonderful move.

We have been using this book in our bible study and it is very enlightening. It makes you dive deep in your thoughts and emotions.

Just finish reading the book for second time. Now ready to have my own personal book club, with the study guide.

This book has done more for me than any counselling. I lost my son many years ago and dealing with that loss is hard. This book challenged me to answer honestly, to meditate on what was written and to seek new avenues, It is so good I have ordered more as gifts, Anyone who is struggling with life or faith this is an excellent resource. Words seem in adequate to its excellence.

A very useful book for reading and self study, following the film. A very useful book to use as part of a themed Bible study, after watching the film too.

Keep this book with you always - it has had such a big impact on me and others that have read it!!
