Kurt S. Adler Sugar Plum Ballerina Christmas Ornament

I was very nervous about purchasing these based on all the broken ornament photos. They are just so beautiful though and couldn't find anything else like it, so gave them a chance thinking I would just glue something if needed. I ordered 12 ornaments total to make my own set. (I got the 4 pack of different country dancers, Clara, the Uncle, Rat King, Nutcracker, Snow Queen, Waltz of the Flowers dancer, Mother Ginger, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. They are a very cohesive set like this with a running color theme of red, pink, purple, white, and gold.) Of the 12 only the Chinese Dancer arrived with the hand broken at the wrist. Quick glue with good glue with the spray to set and good to go. Can't tell at all. I was so glad I did as a present for my daughter who danced in her dance school's version of The Nutcracker, and we go to see professional version every year. She absolutely loves them and I think will keep them long into the years where she'll have her own tree. For me it was a fantastic purchase that I will keep enjoying for a long time. You can see in the photo how well the ballet skirts and details catch the light. They are good sized and on the heavier side compared to just bulb ornaments. You'll want to hang with some care on the back of somewhat sturdy branches as they are obviously at least somewhat fragile. Well woth it. We hung towards the top spaced around and looks beautiful. So glad I went for it.

My grand daughter loves to dance, and in particular, loves the Sugar Plum fairy. After reading the other reviews, I was a bit apprehensive that it might arrive broken due to being so delicate. What was found on opening was a beautiful, delicate, and truly wonderful Sugar Plum fairy ballerina ornament in perfect condition. My grand daughter was delighted with it, and so was I!

Received this ornament for my great granddaughter today, and am very happy with it. After reading some of the other reviews, I was almost afraid to open it up, fearing it might be broken. It is very delicate-looking, which is part of the beauty of it. Definitely NOT a toy. I hope my great granddaughter will consider it a keepsake, along with the other ornaments I've given her each year. This one is especially beautiful, and matches the tutu this little 4-year-old wears to ballet class.

The ornament was a nice addition to our Nutcracker ornament collection. The first picture in the listing is not a very accurate color representation, but the others are pretty close. My daughter chose this ornament off the first picture and was disappointed when it arrived a much darker purple than she thought. It has beautiful details all over, but the paint on the face is scratched and imperfect around the nose and mouth. It’s not very noticeable from far away though, and it looks lovely on the tree. It’s a much sturdier ornament than the Hallmark keepsake ballerinas my girls usually get. Overall, we are pleased with it and would get another from this collection.

I have a collection of these ballerina ornaments. I add a couple more every year. The details in the costumes and face painting makes them even more special. I have several in white and pink. I love them.

I bought this for my niece and it is very loved. The details on it are just amazing. I am a bit worried if not handled with care the hands or legs might break ( I received a broken one last year so we will see...) but in the end, it is such a pretty Christmas ornament. Very happy with the purchase.
