These are genuinely brilliant, I did an experiment to see how long they stayed cool. Even after 4 days the fabric was really cold still! Wouldn’t recommend that though as they don’t smell great after that long!! But seriously, really useful on hot days and trips.

Used these on holiday and did everything they say they do. Best buy we had with us and definitely cooled us down.

How much the cooling effect is down to the material is up for debates (or laboratory tests). If you soak it in water, squeeze out excess water, what is left is a damp piece of cloth. This will either be hot if we used hot water to soak it (not a good idea), or it will be cold / cool since that's the temperature water used for soaking. That's the first part.The part is as you use it, how is the "cool" maintained? I have used this over a 6-hour walk with various stops in between. I used one towel for about 5 hours. It was outdoor, countryside / beach walk, so it was not that hot, about 24-25C, but cloudy with some direct sun. The towel remained damp for about 2.5 hours, and the remaining of the 5 hours, it didn't not get warm. Yes, I have stretched it several times, and each time, there was more coolness. For the last hour, I switched to another towel, that had been in the pouch, already damp. It remained damp from the pouch. And the coolness was good.Anything that is relatively lower temperature to the body will likely result in us feeling cool, our brain might pick up such a signal so the result is a damp cloth give us coolness. It's probably that this kind of towel (and material) prolongs the coolness, or prolongs the dampness that then maintains the coolness, that gives this characteristic.There is a level of "expectation" that it gives us coolness, that's psychology I suppose. There is probably enough of comparison between a "normal" towel, and this towel, being treated in the same way, and which hold holds dampness longer, and therefore gives coolness longer.For me, I will use this on the basis that the material is light. In a way, using a normal towel and wet it, will be a rather odd thing to do when it looks more like a person with a bath towel around his neck. I have used it several times in door, and the coolness last about 2.5 hours.I have not used in bright hot direct sun light, but I have so far used it once in a gym session. From that gym session, I came away thinking I had much less sweat than using a normal towel, by about 20%.Since these towels cost about the same (or lower) as a "normal" towel at comparable size dimension, it's another reason that this is a better choice. It is far lighter and thinner. On top of all that, the colours are bonus.I will use these fairly regularly so might have updates in a few weeks.

I bought these for my mum, this lady is technically averse, so won’t use fans , small a/c fans etc. PITA to be honest.So I thought these would be fantastic, we shall wait and see.Our weather is currently in -wetmer (damn rain) and semi autumn mode-.No heatwave here it’s soggy,, sunshine and occasionally high heat.I will await the outcome from hard to please grandma, but I think they’ll be amazing, nothing to plug in or charge, brill.If not I’m keeping them,

Perfect when you need to cool down quickly

Whilst the cooling towels work well the plastic carry cases are poor quality. After using for only a week the cases split down the sides therefore the towels dry out quickly in the hot weather. I am now trying to source new carry cases.

Took these on holiday to the Dominican Republic where it was very humid. They proved to be a lifesaver! Handy bags and hooks for storage mean you don't mix them up. Long enough to put round your neck or head like a scarf, or wind it round your wrist. My mother in law took one for when she's golfing! Great price too.

Bought these for my daughters who were taking part in their duke of Edinburgh expedition on what proved to be the hottest weekend of the year so far. These were invaluable for keeping them cool, so simple and easy to use (especially for a pair of 14yr olds who had never been away from home without a ‘grown up’.My only criticism is that the bags they are to be stored in are not as sturdy as they could have been, the seams came apart really quickly on them. But will use a sandwich bag in future, so not a huge issue, wish I could give half stars to make it 4.5/5

I live in AZ so it's hot. I bought these for my son and I. He works outdoors, I just help with the yard.I just love the cool towels. Wet them squeeze them and put it around your neck or under your hat. Their soft and it didn't break the bank. I think I got the best deal ever, I got four towels, 4 plastic bags one for each and they also came with four metal clips to clip it to your pants, shorts, backpack where ever you want to clip it to.
