Completely dead after only 4 drawings (medium use)
I don’t know if they sent me a defected one or if they are all just 1/4 filled with ink but after using mine only 9 days it’s already dried out when my last one lasted me over a year, very disappointed especially considering the name copic has built for itself, update This is my 4th drawing with this marker and it’s completely dead, I’m so disappointed and let down by copic, I’d be better off buying a knock off brand at this point, these are way to expensive to be this cheap

True to cap-color
The color of the ink is exactly the same as the color on the cap. I like to know the color I’m reaching for is going to come out as promised. As a pleasant little side-detail, even the name of the colors they choose makes sense! The brush-tip is smooth with a bit of bounce. It releases the ink precisely and according to slight pressure, a predictable flow that gives me exact control of where I want the ink to go.This marker is alcohol based and dries very fast - once the ink is on the paper, blending has to happen right then (you better know your shading-or blending color before this !) to be seamless and smooth. The colorless blending marker doesn’t help with blending so much, it pushes the color I want to blend with away, making it lighter - great for highlites.Until the beginning of 2018, when I discovered you-tube tutorials and realized how much I wanted to learn fashion illustration, I had only dabbled in silk painting and then, later, I squeezed in a few months of old-master-oil-technique. My experience/knowledge of markers (and any graphic art supplies) was limited by felt-tips from childhood and assorted colors from the 99 Cent store - those things and markers like this one are not at all related, not even like a four times removed cousin.I wish it wasn’t true that when it comes to markers, you get what you pay for. But it is true. Believe me, I’ve tried.“How bad can it be?”, I thought when I ordered the first pack of 100 double-ended, guaranteed blend-able in 100 different shades, no bleed, no dry-out, professional quality “Art” Markers for the irresistible price of $19.90.I wish I could tell you this was the only experience I needed to know better. It wasn’t.A shoe-box full with leaky, dried out, explosive ink-spouting things with phantasy color names and caps that have nothing to do with the color that actually comes out on the paper and don’t blend at all, even with those colorless blending-tools I bought separately and three or four sets of more then bizzare skin-tone-sets that nature wouldn’t allow in the worst circumstance on a human skin, and when I made my own color samples, I had to admit that all I really had was maybe ten different colors, at the most tells a very different story.Out of about 250 cheap markers, ten of them still sit on my desk, mixed in with markers like this one.You really really get what you pay for. In the face of 240 pens that will end up at Goodwill, a $7 marker that does exactly what it says it will do is a pretty good deal in my book of deals.

Thank goodness that Copics are built to last...
This marker works great.... Now. When I initially received it, the cap was off on the brush-tip end of the marker, leaving the brush tip stiff and the ink on that side of the marker sticky. I thought I was going to have to buy replacement parts for a brand new marker. But I decided to set it aside and keep the marker capped to see if the problem would fix itself. It took a little over a month, but the brush did eventually come around. It now works like it was never left to dry out. Glad that Copic markers are durable that way. Just wish I didn't have to wait a month before I could use the thing.

Very nice!
First off it came super fast with free shipping, (Not prime) Bit shocked I got it in 2 days.Second I used Blick ink because I loved the color but not their markers as much as I do the copics. Worked as it should. (Rose petal and Butter Cream, so pretty)Finally, I bought 3, 2 for ink and 1 to use Gamblin Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits with. Holy cow did it work. May break down faster and not work within a few weeks but right now it does work. So if you want something to melt your color pencil art with and not have to use a paint brush, this will work.

Dry Marker
I'll start by saying that I absolutely love copic markers. They are incredible, high-quality markers that are unfortunately both expensive and difficult to find online sometimes. My problem is not with the marker itself or the brand. My problem is that my marker arrived dry. I tried to color with it the very first day I received it, and the nib had only a stroke of ink in it before it stopped marking altogether. I tried to contact the seller or submit a claim but was unable, and I'd be willing to retract this review and post a glowing 5-star review for my money back. I understand I can't return it, and I don't want a replacement. I've already got a refill on the way. But I don't like that I've paid $8.50 for a dry marker I can't even use until the ink cartridge arrives.

My favourite colour out of all the colours, vibrant green (ideal for colouring leaves)
I use this green more than any other colour in my collection of copic markers and it is my favourite green. It is bright and vibrant and ideal for colouring leaves. If you are starting out with buying these pens it is very expensive and I would recommend getting this as one to start with. It blends well with other greens and like all other colours in the copic sketch marker range, it lasts for a very long time. The caps come off easily but stay down firm when put on. The shape of the pen is designed not to roll off the desk. There are two sides and indicated on the top of the ten to show you which side is which. One side is for thick lines or colouring large areas and the thinner side is shaped like a paint brush and glides on the page. The green shade has a slight undertone of yellow and also blends well with yellow shades. It is ideal for colouring and dries very fast. This is an alcohol ink pen and if you use it for colouring in adult colouring books it will bleed to the next page. You would need to put a piece of cardboard being your drawing so that it won't bleed on to the page behind.I recently started buying the copic refills which makes this work out even cheaper and you can reuse this pen again and again and refill it with the refill inks available.

Vibrant bright red - excellent
This RED colour copic sketch marker pen is the one that I use the most. It is a vibrant bright red and is quite similar to number R29. I love the fact that the pen is refillable too as these pens are very expensive when you first purchase them. They are a good investment as they never dry out even if you haven't used them in months. In the long I have found that copic sketch pens work out a lot cheaper than buying cheap alternatives that just do not give the same results. One side of the pen is thicker and the other is the thinner option. I almost always only use the thin side but it is handy to have the option of the thick side too. The top clicks down so there is no fear of the lid falling off. The shape of the pen is also designed not to roll off the desk. The more you go over the same coloured in section of your picture the more the colour builds up with each layer you use.If you are only starting out buying these pens, IMHO I would start with R27 as one of the first colours to collect as it is one of the colours that is most useful.

Pretty colour
I bought two Copic markers before buying a whole set so that I could see if I liked them first.I bought Tender Pink (RV13) and Pale Pink (RV10), two close colours to practice blending. They work really nicely although, I should have picked two colours which are even closer. At first, I was worried that they were too close and there would be no difference between the two but I was far from correct. They're actually really far apart, which now makes me understand why people in tutorials suggest you get colours that differ by one digit to blend. It is possible to blend really different colours though, after much practice and a specific technique. Also, the colours come up much darker than they appear on colour charts. So when you select them, go for one a couple shades lighter like you would wallpaper and make a colour chart with your own pens rather than rely on a printed one. I'm happy with these and after trying them out, I bought my first 72 set of sketch markers and they're great.

Copic markers are pretty much flawless when it comes to markers
Copic markers are pretty much flawless when it comes to markers. Though pricey (though I wait until they are on special offer on amazon and only buy from amazon if cheaper than copic store directly), they are worth it. The fact they are refillable makes it worth the cost and good investments long term even if the start up price is more than other markers. The brush nib is great for colouring, blending and layering and is my primary marker nib due to it’s versatility. In an oval barrel shape so it doesn’t roll and the dark gray line to let you know which end is which easily.I would recommend these markers over any others due to the smooth colour and high quality.
