12 Pack - Be Ready Glow Sticks - Red

These are good quality chem lights
I tried one of these out this weekend during an electrical blackout. The red color is not real bright, but they will work fine for what I actually intend to use them for.I bought them to mark our tent pegs when we camp. The light glowed for over 12 hours and I would say they are at least as good as the Cyalume brand sticks.

Great value
It arrived on time. I activated one to check how long it will last. It lasted 2 days and 4 hours before its barely visible in the dark. Fully satisfied with the product. I gave one to each family member in case of emergency. I also put 4 in my medkit bag and 2 in my personal trauma med kit. The casing itself is suprisingly strong. It won't break by accident as it actually takes effort to activate them. Overall, great value for the price. Will buy again.

Great to keep in your grab bag for your boat together with the rest of the colors needed.
I keep these in my grab bag for my boat. Red, Green and White. With these three colors I have what I need if my nav lights would stop working. Which they have one time. Three colors makes you legal and at least safer then without.

Alright
They work alright, the cord is fairly handy. They are Chinese made.

As expected
They work great, what more can be said. Stock up before you need them. As they begin to approach expiration date, give away to kids during Halloween! Stay visible, stay safe!

not bright
good for general marking ,only barely able to illuminate the inside of a medium size tent

Great for hurricane emergency kit and worked better than expected.
I bought these glow sticks to prepare for Hurricane Irma in Sarasota FL and they really outdid themselves. We used 3 of them while the power was out. They come with a rubber string type thing (not a cotton or nylon lanyard but works fine for tying it down and not soaking up water, etc). These are perfect for an emergency kit and they definitely outlasted their 12 hours. I would say 18 hours for us is a safe bet - they fade over time though. They are relatively easy to activate. Unwrap it and bend it/break it and shake it. It takes a little bit of hand strength to bend it (just more aware of this because I have MS and some weakness in my hands - I also don't think arthritic hands would have an easy time with the break either). Despite that, great item. 5 stars. It works better than expected.
