Replacement MR77A Hampton Bay/Home Decorators Collection Ceiling Fan Kit

My Hampton Bay 60 inch 5 blade ceiling fan just stopped working one day when my son was flipping circuit breakers.Maybe he flipped it off then on too fast and it blew something inside and stopped altogether. I found this on Amazon and the price was half the price of the ceiling fan but I figured it was cheaper than buying a new fan.The unit is a drop in replacement and only took a few minutes to replace. I had to cut the 2 power wires to put on different connectors or I suppose you could just use some wire nuts and twist then together.I opened the failed unit and found that it had a soldered in fuse that probably blew when the power was switched off and on too fast. It would take some skill with electronics and soldering to replace but it might be worth it because the fuse that failed is probably less than $1

We love the ceiling fan in our living room and have struggled with trying to find a replacement. We should have listened to the reviews before we purchased the fan, but it was PERFECT in our decor. Sure enough, it just stopped working one day. Period. Nothing, nada. This replacement unit, while not cheap, fixed our fan and we hope we'll get at least another four years out of this. {{{ sigh }}}

This replacement unit fits and works perfectly. I had to cut off connectors on the 2 wires that go to the light, and connect them with wire nuts, per the original assembly. However, this was no problem at all, and my ceiling fan was back to its old self in no time.

We have 3 68" Altura fans. When one of them suddenly stopped working I ordered a replacement MR77A from another online site. Upon plugging it in the fan worked, but it spins about 33% slower than the original did. My fans with original parts will complete 1 full revolution on LOW in about 2 seconds. The fan I have with this part takes 3. I purchased this 2nd unit from Amazon because the description stated that it was an OEM replacement and would not make the fan slow like others would. Not the case. These fans already spin fairly slow so having it even slower is not really acceptable.

My Hampton Bay fan quit working. Had a electrician out who advised getting new fan. I knew it was a problem with the receiver since the remote lite up when pressed. When I did a search for the receiver and this showed up. Lucky me! Delivered the next day. I plugged it in and it worked!!! Thank you for saving me hundreds of $$$$.
