The best mouthguard for lacrosse
These mouthguards work great! My lacrosse players love that they can talk pretty normally with these in, and don’t drool on themselves, which are challenges with bulkier models. My younger daughter wears braces, and our ortho would not respond to our requests for assistance. We watched an online guide where an orthodontist showed how to simply cover the braces up with a strip of foil (pressed tightly to the teeth) for the molding process. Simple to do, just make sure the braces are completely covered by the foil, and you bite on the non-perforated area of the guard during placement.

Better than I initially thought
I purchased a custom fit mouthguard for $125 after I purchased this mouthguard. When this mouthguard came it. I was disappointed in how thin it looked. I didn’t open the package. I was going to return it. After reading reviews on the $125 mouthguard, saying it can take up to 8 weeks to be finished. I decided to open this mouthguard and use it until my new one comes in. I am impressed at how easy it was to shape to my mouth. I am really impressed at how well this one fits and how well I can talk with it in. I think I may have wasted money on the more expensive mouthpiece. I think this mouthpiece does everything I want. I will wait to see how it does when I take a knee to the mouth.

Slim mouth guard
This mouthguard is a huge upgrade from bulky traditional ones. It’s super thin but still protective, and I can actually talk and breathe comfortably while wearing it. The custom molding takes a bit of patience, but once it’s fitted right, it feels great and stays secure during games. I love that I can remold it if needed.

One fitting tip
Truly amazing product.I did have some trouble fitting. I tried like 6 times, but couldn't get it to form without a wrinkle somewhere in the front, which is a big problem with grappling. Eventually, I figured out that I could just hold it in my hand and dip only part of it in the water (the wrinkled part) and put it back in and actually push on my lip, which pushes on the guard, to flatten the wrinkle. The guard is extremely comfortable, which means I'll actually wear it. I think I'll end up using it as a night guard as well.I only have three critiques1. It's small, with a small bite pad. I got the adult version. It says 11+ years old. It would probably fit an 11 year old perfectly. There's no way I could form it without the holes being on a significant portion of my bite pattern.(Picture 1) My teeth are just too wide. Toward the back, there are holes on both sides of my bite, on both sides of my mouth.2. Even with everything perfectly smoothed, I can still feel the holes rub against the inside of my lip when my lip is squished against the guard. With grappling, that happens a lot. I'm afraid it will rub the inside of my lip raw. I wish there were a version that didn't have holes. In nearly any other sport it would probably not be an issue.3. There's no case. The thin plastic package it came in will suffice for now, but it won't last long. If it were just a little thicker, it would have worked as a case.Edit #1: on my first time out using it, one tiny little wrinkle at the top, right in the middle, smoothed out so much that I couldn't even feel it, still made my lip bleed. (Picture 2) got a small cut at the bottom, too. Presumably where one of the holes are too close to the front bite. I'll keep trying to remold it. I really want it to work because it's so comfortable.

Hockey Mouthguard
Molding is a little time consuming since we had to do it a few times to get it even. Haven’t used yet, but seems okay!

The BEST
SISU is the best, hands down. Lightweight, easy to mold, hasn't melted when I forget my gear in my car (oops lol). You can talk with this in, and it's thin enough that it doesn't feel like you're choking.

Feels like it offers no protection (and I can't return it)
Fitting was challenging enough (simply because you have to mold the entire frame to your teeth which can be challenging depending on your teeth). It ended up fitting marginally well on the front teeth but not really at all on the back teeth.Ya it is comfortable but that's because the material is flimsy, I could bend it easily. I ordered another mouth guard because I felt this one didn't offer any protection. Then I wanted to return the original mouth guard (the sisu), but they don't take returns so I basically wasted my money. If you want something that protects you, buy a bulkier one and save the time and money.

Slim but sturdy, and allows you to close your mouth completely when using.
Much easier to mold to your bite than the clear mouth guards! Works well for me, who bought it for issues with teeth clenching. This mouth guard is also much thinner than most, which was my main concern since the other types were practically bulging out of my mouth and causing me to sleep with my mouth open. However, the thinness could be an issue for those who need a mouth guard for teeth grinding. Since it has a uniform thickness all around, it won’t provide any extra cushion between your teeth when biting down. Depending on why you need a mouth guard, this could be an issue.
