This is truly a great read and really helpful in many ways! Get it, you will not be disappointed!

This is a comprehensive and interesting book about how to connect with different symbols and what they mean for you. By giving you the traditional definitions of more than 500 common symbols that you may receive when you connect with Spirit and your intuition, you can decide for yourself if that's the right definition for you, or if your meaning is a little (or a lot) different.The book is also full of exercises to help you connect with your own intuition and inner knowing so you can develop your own intuitive and psychic abilities. It's a great resource and I highly recommend it to my students as I teach them about symbols and signs from Spirit and how to develop their own symbol dictionary.

I am reading this book simultaneously with The Gift of Shamanism:Vsionary Power, Ayahuasca Dreams and Journeys to Other Realms by Itzhak Beery. Melanie's books have practical how to get to it practices at the end of every chapter. these help getting the concept across to the reader. I have read two other of her books Steady way to Greatness which began my journey back to regaining my spiritual power back. Psychic Visions that I was reading to interpret and relationship with a person who I have never met but text with using remote viewing to make sense out of why I was so drawn to this person. After a reading from Melanie Barnum clarified a lot of the situation it sparked my interest in what exactly was going on for this person. All that to say I'm very happy to have her books as workable tools

This book is very informative and well written, it is also very enjoyable to read. There are sections where you need to have a helper to practice with or you need to write things down, so you can’t just read the book cover to cover. I’ve skipped over some of those areas and continued reading what I could. I know I will use this book as a reference for many years and will probably re-read it Several times during that time

Of the hundreds of hours of self study, reading, teacher led programs etc., I have to say this ONE book has made one of the biggest shifts in my work and understanding and has allowed for me to grow leaps and bounds in such a short time.It helped me to connect the dots in many images I’ve been receiving in my mind’s eye for quite some time now that I just chalked up to a “not quite sure” conclusion. But now after reading Melanie’s work, and seeing where things connect and learning the universal language for so many of these symbols, it’s like another third eye has opened 😂 Fourth eye if you will.I’ve recommended this book to those closest to me... family, practice circles, friends. Would do the same to anyone else considering this learning tool. It’s amazing too because it contains a glossary in the back for quick references. Truly a staple. I know I’ll continue to gain so much from this into the future. 10/10 recommend to beginners and veterans alike!

This book was ok. It started out better than it ended, in my opinion. At the beginning, she suggests journaling exercises to develop your intuition and practice mindfulness and this is where I got the most out of this book. But she loses me in the middle when she goes into color symbols (meh) and religious symbols, like God and the cross (which are traditional meanings and could go without saying). I believe that everyone is born with a natural intuition and I am interested in developing mine, but I am not a psychic and this book seemed to be geared towards those who are more "gifted" than I am and are receiving picture symbols in their heads (and somehow have no idea that they are messages or what they could possibly mean). The Symbol glossary was full of odd symbols with definitions that were weird and unnecessarily specific, yet grossly lacking. For instance the "symbol" definition for the Akashic records were in the glossary as well as zodiac signs and...Canada? I can't imagine any of these symbols coming to me, as none of them are meaningful to me. I know that the Author's intent was to just give some definitions for symbols you could get and what they could possibly mean if you do, but they all just seem either really obvious or a little silly and unnecessary to me. More than 50% of this book is dedicated to such definitions. It would have been more helpful to me personally to have more ideas/exercises on how you can learn to receive these symbols or a more in depth look at other ways that you might receive messages and how to interpret them. Kudos to the writer for putting herself out there, this just wasn't what I was looking for.

"The Book of Psychic Symbols" is an easy to read, enjoyable book with a wealth of information. It was great to read about Melanie's real life experiences and learn about interpreting different symbols and signs. The book was inspiring and comforting to me during a difficult time in my life. It was especially fitting when I grabbed the book, opened it at random, and came upon the section that talked about angels as symbols. Very fitting and spiritual all at the same time. Thank you Melanie, for opening up my mind to all the signs and symbols that are out there waiting for us to discover!

This book has been a wonderful resource in my line of work. I love the basic, down to earth way it's written so that it speaks to both the novice and the experienced intuitive. I leave this book with a few others on my coffee table for my clients and this book seems to make it's way to the top of the pile on a regular basis. Wherever you may be on your developmental path, this book will certainly help you along the way.

Loving this book. I’ve learnt a great deal already and I’m only half way through. It’s given a really good understanding of how spirit communicates and how to build up your own reference of symbols. The author is encouraging and helps you build your own confidence in your abilities.

So far I read half way though the book. I really like it. The exercises are clear and straight forward. I haven't practiced the exercises yet. When I finish the book I'll practice after. It makes sense what she says in the book. Overall A+!
