Nice scope!
I like this scope because it's affordable and made well. The dials are solid. The windage and elevation lock and adjust by hand without tools. The sight picture I got is the horshoe kind and is etched. So, daylight it looks like black lines. The illuminated part is the horsehoe. The red is less bright than the green. Red for night, green for day. And once you look through you'll see that it works great. The clarity is really good. I don't think my eyes can tell this from awesome glass. I don't have the best eyes. However, they make my vision much better than sights and I have zero complaints. The zoom is stiff and smooth in a good way. The 1x is clear enough to use and the 6x is clear for getting close up and accurate. I know there are far more expensive glass out there, and, if you have that, and can tell the difference, then you have better vision than me. Some guys really do. But, this is nice glass to me. I'm glad to have this. It feels sturdy and I have zero complaints.

The optics are great, but
*update*Seller reached out and apologized with a very polite discount. I did not realize that this was a third party problem. This kind of customer service alone deserves 5 stars. Again, great value optic, super clear, and super easy to install and operate. This is a great value optic, no lie. Extremely clear and easy to install and use.My two stars come from two good optics but poor quality control on the sellers part. I was sent an opened and once installed sight by the seller. I get it, mistakes happen and if the customer I was doing work for wasn’t in such a hurry I would of definitely returned it.Kinda felt sorry for the guy that returned it. I don’t think he had a clue what he was doing. Tried to “shim” the inside of the optic cover with tape and scratched the holy f out of the ring mount.

Good riflescope with bad lens cap
Just like eveyone else who this riflescope the only problem had with scope was the lens cap. I put this scope on a ar15 450 bushmaster and so far it a good.

Great, inexpensive optic
Searched the web for a nice, 1-6x or 1-8x optic for my Tavor X95. Most that were being touted on the review sites were hundreds and even thousands of dollars. I can't justify that kind of money for something I will use to put holes in paper or ring steel on a range. So ordered this one after it showed up on a couple of review sites as "best budget" optic. I was not disappointed. When it came in, I compared it to the only other LPVO I had access to (a Sig...not sure the model as it was a friend's optic). I was amazed at how clear the glass was and how nice the etched markings were. Zeroed it at 50 yards (no bracing/bench...just old school standing position) in just a few rounds. After that, it was tearing up the center of the target for about 200 rounds with no loss of zero. It has two colors for illumination, but we were at an outdoor range and I really didn't need either. When I tried it, the red was easiest to see in the daylight, but the green was plenty bright. No noticeable halo or other bleed over of the light. Just the "horseshoe" lights up and that seems pretty much the best option for my shooting style. Very pleased with this purchase.

I have three "better" LPVOs, and I keep coming back to this for home defence. HUGE eyebox.
This has the largest eyebox, in all directions, of all the LPVOs I have, all of which are far upmarket of the WestHunter. By a lot, actually.I bought this 10 months ago and had about 4-5 choices I was picking between. I wanted a horseshoe reticle, I wanted red and green (green is better for me on most light, not all), and I wanted a very forgiving eyebox. I am not a Seal, and if I ever had to use it in home defense, I just wanted to raise it and see. I saw in some of the reviews here that this was a strength. So I got the WestHunter. I just got another LPVO and, once again, the WH wins again in the eyebox derby. I love the sight picture on this thing, so clear and thin-walled. In thinking about how reviews lead me to buy it, I came back to write this review and underscore this point.

Received today at 4pm...
first i would like to give sincere thanks to the entire Amazon worker team that got this item to me. from the order taker to the delivery driver, each one of you did a fantastic job in getting this to me in less than 16 hours from placement of order.now about the item...this is my second scope from WestHunter. the first is of the same type/model but with a different reticle.the packaging was like getting into Fort Knox, extremely secure and professionally done.the scope takes a CR2032 battery(not included) and while the red adjustment options are very clean with no discernible "fuzz" or washout, the green options do have visible washing at the 5, 4 and 3 settings but no "fuzzing".settings 2 and 1 are surprisingly clear and don't wash out when looking out my window at a line of pine trees with new growth.*washing/tinting is when the illumination of the reticle carries out through the eyepiece lenses.the "basic" version that i purchased was easy to install since i already have a WestHunter QD mount.zero-ing, shock proofing, recoil tolerance and overall durability will be done next early next month at a proper outdoor range and i will post and re-edit my review accordingly but as it stands WestHunter has an A++ grade from me.

You get what you pay for: cheap chinesium
Read the discription thoroughly before buying. The magnification is at 1x on the lowest setting and if you adjust it just right to get it there, there is still a fish eye effect through the scope. Why is this important? If you try to use it on 1x with both eyes open, as you would with a red dot or decent 1x scope, it is very disorianting. Essentially unusable in that aspect.Besides that and the covers falling off that everyone else mentioned, no other complaints. I only ran about 20rnds through with it attached so I don't know how well the zero holds up.I will be returning it and looking for a higher quality 1-6 scope.

Exceptional
Exceptional for its price point. I've used it on 3 different fire arms, setting up the rail is easy, and lining the sight is easy enough. The thing is great. Would buy again.

Unglaublich gut
Bin fasziniert. Bei dem Preis, sehr klare Sicht, großes Sehfeld und robust. Das Rad für den Rotpunkt geht recht schwer, ist aber nicht der Rede wert.
