Bad power supply included unusable
Seriously you can’t replace the power supply with anything that doesn’t cost close to half this unit or way more. Why did this not use a slide on clipped secure end for the different power connections. I use USA and all the connections push on with a two pronged slide on that moves and slides off due to no clip or anything to keep it in place. You can enjoy hours of interrupted listening as your unit powers on an off as you have to push it back in to complete the circuit. Why take a possibly great product and make it unusable. Hey Music hall. Wall warts have weight to them. Charge us a few bucks more for a better power supply.

Discovered why Taking Back Sunday's Tell All Your Friends gives me a headache!
Until I got this amp I had no idea why TBS's Tell all your friends album always gave me a headache. It turns out that there was something wrong during the recording session and all of Nolan's vocals have a dog-whistle squeal over them. You can tell when the engineer turns his vocals up even before he starts singing because there is suddenly this awful dog-whistle sound. I could never hear it until I got this amp so.. I guess it's doing its job.Other than ruining that album for me, it is a fantastic amp and definitely what I wanted for the price.

Compact. Musical but Transients Lacking.
Attractive, solid construction. It has only RCA inputs (not XLR) and my preamplifier is quite a distance away, so the signal it receives is not optimal. I heard the difference on another headphone amp with both RCA and XLR inputs; with XLR inputs the sound was louder, more dynamic and detailed. In spite of this handicap, the Music Hall sounded pleasant, almost tubelike, through my AKG headphones, just lacking in being able to hear the fine detail of individual instruments and musical transients. I wonder what balanced inputs would so for the sound.
